Age of Empires 2 HD confirmed

Seems to me the only thing that's "HD" about it is support for higher resolutions, and there's already a mod/community-made expansion that does that, as well as adding new civilizations and units.
But anyways, I wonder if one who plays with a resolution of 1920x1080 would have an advantage over one who plays at 1024x768.
Since everything uses pre-rendered raster graphics, upscaling a lower resolution to reduce the players field of view would look god awful.
