Do you use Epic games?

If so what games do you/have you played?

I only have free games on their site - which of course is a lot (but not all I didn't collect them all)

I have been using it since most of my games on Steam won't work very well for me on my current machine

I have been playing a lot of Animation Throw-down ( I love animation like Family guy and Bob's Burgers) and just started Vampire Survivor - I like it a lot

Any recommendations as well

I get the free ones, but I've never played a single one.

I pay for Xbox Game Pass and have barely played anything there either.

Steam community and achievements and profiles are too good compared to the competition that I feel like beating a game on any other platform is like it was never even played.

I have played some of the games.
I think it was Subnautica and GTA5 before I got them on Steam.

In the end for both I switched to Steam.

BUT I did not even know Animation Throw-down was available on PC ... I have been playing that on the phone only. I like the animations as well.

I'd consider buying more of Epic's games if they had bundles like Steam has on HumbleBundle and Fanatical.
I do have a Prime account that I've signed onto 2 months ago, so I guess I qualify for "Yes - I even bought some".

What have I played on Epic? Let's see.

  • Fall Guys
  • The Talos Principle
  • Celeste (although it's really a game that's "made for me", I only played like 10-20 minutes and never played it again. I don't know why. Now I have it on Steam though, so if I get back to it it'll be on Steam most probably.)
  • Minit
  • Abzu for 20-30 minutes
  • Fez (almost finished, but didn't.)
  • Limbo
  • The Witness (almost finished but hit a game breaking bug that couldn't be solved without modding.)
  • Axiom Verge (was like 70%-80% finished but it started to become really confusing and cumbersome that I stopped playing.)
  • What Remains of Edith Finch
  • Super Meat Boy (20%-30% finished. I played the original Meat Boy to completion back in Kongregate days.)
  • Dead by Daylight (played for a week or two, then decided I'm too bad at this and maybe I'll get back to it in the future.)
  • Ancient Enemy (played only for an hour or so, then ditched it for the time being.)
  • Snakebird Played for 70-80 levels and then stopped for an unknown reason.)

Actually not like most people i like epic games. Sometimes gives really good games sometimes trash but when they even give a trash game i give it a shot cause it's free. I played mostly puzzle games that epic gave and majority of them were really good games. I don't understand why people so negative about epic. One day you look it gives something you wanted and you try and say oh thanks god i didn't buy this or hell yeah thank you epic. In a nutshell epic is not as good as steam but it's still a king to me.

Sure. I play games on Epic every once in a while. I have no particular allegiance to Steam. Steam's achievements and community features are nice, but in the end, it's all about the games for me. It's actually kind of nice to just play games for fun, without obsessively worrying about extraneous stuff like completion rates.

Here are a few of the ones that I played:
Enter the Gungeon, Subnautica, A Short Hike, Celeste, Batman Arkham Knight, Inside, A Plague Tale: Innocence, Yoku's Island Express, Hyper Light Drifter, Card Shark, Alba - A Wildlife Adventure, The Messenger, The Witness, Grime, Obduction, Oxenfree, Into the Breach, LEGO Builder's Journey, Stories Untold

EtG is my most played game on Epic with close to 200 hours!

Worth noting that I don't use the Epic client. I launch the games through the Playnite library manager which has an add-on that runs the open-source Legendary client in the background.
