Using a dictionary = not my idea of fun.

Seriously, I'm not a huge Scribblenauts fan. I might pick it up for a dollar on iPhone, but playing it on NDS a couple of years ago ... it just wasn't very fun. I, however, LOVE seeing the wacky screenshots that people in my Friends list post. They are pretty funny. But this is a game where I'd rather see the highlights than play through myself.

I loved it on my DS which I had for like 7 years!

xD I got the original, super, and remix, as well as unlimited. Now I regret buying the first two.

Given all the love, I'm hoping it goes temporarily free on IOS. Then I'll pick up remix and try it again.

I can't stand when Scribblenauts asks me to do something like "i need something sharp for cutting!" and the the only thing the NPC will accept is scissors. It's boring to go with the obvious answers.

Huh....really? It accepts different answers.

Most parts after the tutorial, sure. But there are a few parts (particularly during the star challenges) that are far less accepting of creative answers.

Anyway, I hope you don't die. Good luck!

I don't think you can. If it's not for you there's not much to do. I tried it and it bored me to death.

Use the adjective "autotuned" on everything. It's the best.

That adjective is in the game? really? XD

Man I've got to try it out if it's true

This is a good example of multiple solutions, on the island level there's the puzzle where you have to make a sailor(?) sing better, I spawned a "vocal coach".

Yea, you definitely need an imagination to enjoy it.

For instance, when you're in the hospital and a woman is getting attacked by a heart (heart attack), what do you do? Just use a flamethrower and kill it or something? Or summon a Riot, then a zombie, create a rioting zombie apocalypse...w/ laser guns, make the heart mega sized with wings and it becomes zombified, and then create an army of soldiers in tanks and helicopters to kill the zombies and their mega heart overlord.

That's how you make it fun!

I gave the heart a sword and laughed to myself like for half an hour.

The most fun I had with it was trying to get the most insane solution for a puzzle to work. It can be annoying when you get stuck and have to go with a simple solution though.

Giving a surgeon in need of tools a chainsaw is fun.

So when you finish the game, what do you do now? Replay missions? You already know the solutions though.

Permalink

Errr...think up different solutions? :) Do you give the scientist a flamethrower or a blowtorch or a heater or a giant hair-dryer? Do you stop the heart attack by spawning a defibrillator or by killing it with a giant hammer? Do you kill the giant attacking fish by blowing it up with a bomb, a giant RPG or do you just add the adjective "dead"? Or do you add the adjective "miniature harmless" and let it live?

+1. Many puzzles have multiple solutions and payoff animations. Try obscure answers. It's all about your imagination.
