"Estimated wins is the sum of all your entered giveaways using the following formula... SUM(1/MAX(1,(Gift.Entries/Gift.Copies)))"
Pretty much, it increases as you enter more giveaways, and the less entries in the giveaways the more it will increase. Estimated wins will rarely match up with your actual wins, so don't take it as being owed games if it is above what you have won by a few. It's all a matter of luck.

Holy crap, you've been luckier in two weeks than some people have in a year...

pretty much, it says how many games should you have won by now, i.e. it would be 1 if you entered 100 giveaways with 100 total entries, or 1000 giveaways with 1000 total entries... it's just an indicator though, and it seldom represents actual games won (because, well, it's random).

SteamGifts collects your tears and then converts it Estimated Wins. The more you cry the more you should have won. :'(
