First time setups...

Everytime when I install another game, this stupid first time setup starts again... This is so annoying, and I don't really see the point of it.

I mean, why are they installing it all over again every time? Isn't it possible to update Steam, so Steam knows what programs are already on your computer?

I guess that more people are getting annoyed by this, or am I wrong?
