Well, since Prime is a linked service, you could be picking it up for Audible or Prime Shipping or Amazon Prime Streaming or some other benefit. :)
And yeah, I wouldn't be posting this thread at all if the games hadn't caught my eye- especially Tales from Candlekeep and Steamworld Dig 2- which, correct me if I overlooked something, I don't believe either of them has been bundled at all yet.
I can't see myself spending $13 on Prime, but I did get curious as to what others thought about it.

Ahh, Steamworld Dig 2 caught my eye as well!
But yeah, I dunno. Any Amazon-related benefits are kind of a gamble for me, because I live in Australia and it's not really well serviced by Amazon. If you live in the US, it's probably a safer bet, and less of an investment :S
(Still, the bundles will come, friend. The bundles will come.)

less of an investment
I dunno, $13 a month (or even the much more appealing $100 yearly sub) is still a lot to put down for a service that mostly offers bells and whistles. Very few Prime services offer tangible, meaningful impact (for example, Prime Shipping means nothing if you always buy enough to meet Free Standard Shipping and don't have need for quick delivery). [Naturally, there's a tangible benefit there if your usage differs.] These free games kinda stand out as offering something to directly calculate value off of- but, as with Humble Monthly, it's still an investment for entertainment; entertainment which, for those of us with established game collections and regular tracking of Steam offers, just isn't necessarily worth the extra investment.
The poll is indicating a majority of site users already are Prime subscribers, though, so it looks like it'll mostly be a bonus for many. Which, of course, does have the potential benefit of making it so that Prime users may be more inclined to offer spare Steam copies of games they've gotten on Twitch, when those games're released in bundles.
(Still, the bundles will come, friend. The bundles will come.)
Hype! ^.^

Are there two services being discussed? Twitch Prime (directly through Twitch) for $13 per month, and Amazon Prime that includes FREE Twitch Prime for $106.68 per year ($8.89 per month, at least with my tax rate). If so, if you plan to sign up for it, it would make MUCH more sense to simply sign up for Amazon Prime for ~$4.11 cheaper each month and gain all the benefits of both services.

All Prime services use the same subscription, so you always sign up for every Prime service at once, regardless of which site you sign up through. In fact, to activate Twitch Prime, it redirects you to the Amazon Prime signup page, so it doesn't even have a seperate signup form (and, as I recall, that's true for every Prime service site).
Likewise, Amazon Prime lists as $13 a month, or $99 a year, according to the website, for me, the same as Twitch does.

It's a 36% discount to buy yearly (or, alternatively, a 57% increase to buy monthly), so yeah, it's a massively better deal to buy yearly if you'll make enough use of the service to warrant it. Personally, I hate subscription services, so I'm disinclined to that approach.. though I think Amazon does let you cancel right after buying a yearly, so there's no risk of recharge?

Just curious, but how are you coming to the $13 per month figure? I am a Prime subscriber and get the Twitch Prime games and use the other benefits for $99 + tax (I believe it is), and it comes to like $106.68 per year. That's only $8.89 per month for me. Please clarify.

Month per month sub in amazon prime is $13, the annual sub obviously costs less otherwise there would be no reason to go with it over the monthly one, but not everyone goes for that especially not if they don't use amazon often. I only use it once or twice a month at most, many months I don't even use it at all so if I had to get prime with those prices I wouldn't get the annual

It's not in Bulgaria, it's in Spain I moved here a little over a year ago. The price varies through EU, Spain and Italy have it at 20€ that being the cheapest. US and UK amazon seem to be the most expensive of all. Not sure if the cheaper ones are missing any of extras that come with prime, I know the Spanish one didn't have prime video until early 2017 yet the price didn't change even after it got added.

I heard some rumors about it going up this year so wouldn't be unexpected to have that happen over here too and honestly 36€ isn't that high for a year.
Actually 20€ to me sounds like amazon would be losing money given that a prime sub on twitch gives a flat $2.5 to the streamer or at least that's how I've heard it is so if someone was using all his prime subs amazon would be giving all the money to the streamers.

Let's not forget that the subscription also include Prime Video and Prime Music!
36/y is not much but still almost as twice as before =P
I'd like the option to choose what to sub to though.. I mean, if they really raised the price to upkeep with Twitch expenses, I'd happily exclude Twitch from my plan to pay less :D

ah ok i thought you meant 20€ in a Month
ok maybe Spain is really cheap on this
But maybe other things costs more or You and the others dont get much money in a Month
Because the Prices goes along with How much Money have the people in a Country

Oh no that price is completely fine, I'm even subbed on the annual but I wouldn't have subbed if it was with the US prices mainly because I hardly use it. Last year I've used amazon in total 5 times and it was all in one month.
Checking my payment and yep that's about $2.05 with the VAT included (prices have that included in EU)

I've played through the first game twice, and I basically never replay games. Given that, Dig 2 seems like it'd be a safe bet for spending a bit extra on. Though, given what we saw from Dig and Heist, it does seem likely that Dig 2 will go dollar tier sooner rather than later, once they start bundling it. Certainly, I'm hoping for this to be a sign that they're prepping for the first bundles of the game..
As you say, though, I'm not keen on the Twitch client (and $13 is really just too high for the games alone). Then again, to me, it always seemed like Prime was just a collection of subpar and/or gimmicky services, encouraging paying for quantity rather than quality. Certainly, at the very least, Amazon Streaming is still a content-limited service with a catastrophic interface (or was, last I checked it), and really brings the overall impression down.
The other offerings are certainly a bit more subjective based on a subscriber's interests and needs (hence the curiosity driving this thread), but in many ways do feel rather niche in appeal (like, ever wonder what the cross-section between audio-book listeners and Twitch streamers is? :P) Twitch is definitely offering a few tasty tidbits in with those game offerings, though, so it's interesting to consider if that'll be a motivating factor for subscriptions [for users such as those on Steamgifts].
Of course, given how comparatively cheap student discount on Prime is, and how some people have business-related need for Prime Shipping, there are definitely some subscribers for whom the service would be more inherently appealing. Naturally, dedicated Twitch streamers win out the most, as this offers an appealing synergistic element to their streaming efforts.

all you need to do is link your twitch account to your amazon account if you already have amazon prime

my wife loves amazon prime, so i've had twitch prime via linking my twitch account to her amazon account since they first announced it. so far in addition to the march games i've collected punch club, banner saga 1 & 2, flame in the flood, walking dead telltale series, this war of mine, and titan souls. i have most of them on steam and will probably play them there, but i'll always appreciate more free games.

Being an Amazon Prime member, it's a free dessert added to the course. I even collected some wishlisted games on steam from twitch such as Shadow Tactics. I hope they continue this and become large enough to rival steam, since monopoly is always bound to be rotten.

Right, that's the weird thing about it. GOG is inherently appealing, because it has fundamentally different offerings than the other platforms. But Uplay and Origin really hold on solely by exclusives, and get attention by freebies. The Twitch app doesn't have the exclusives going for it, so it's really just an unnecessary additional service that feels cluttery- and will feel that way until/unless it gets to the point where it makes itself positively distinct from its direct competitor(s) (ie, Steam).
At that point, it'd still be clutter on top of the other services, but it would make up for it with its beneficial effects on the market, perhaps finally encouraging Valve into some degree of professionalism. (Then again, there's still hope for GOG eventually doing that, but with Galaxy progressing along so glacially, that feels less encouraging than it once did.) Likewise, that's the point where all those freebies done through Prime start becoming notable (in the sense of offering investment in having a collection on the platform).
Of course, right now, I'm not seeing anything to indicate they're trying to market themselves outside of the freebies, so it yet may be a bit early to start putting any positive expectations on the service.

Yeah. I use it 3 or 4 times a year, and make several purchases at once. But at 20€ a year, if they improve their streaming service a bit, then that and improved Twitch game offerings ends up being fairly enticing, even with little interest in the other services over the year.

Twitch has its own client, similar to Steam, Origin, or Uplay.
It's my understanding (which perhaps one of the Prime subscribers can verify) that they're DRM-restricted like Steam, and auto-associate to your Twitch account.

I like the service.
I use Amazon prime for my firetv, the free shipping and twitch connect. Since day one I used my free sub and collected the games. Most of them are even DRM-Free so you just need the client to download them. Also the ingame stuff they gave away from time to time is cool. I still could bite my ass, that I didn't get that t-shirt for pubg. You could later get a nice amount of money for it ^^
Games next months are nice.
Just the twitchapp is a bit... heavy

Link to the main SteamGifts thread on Twitch Prime offerings
Edit: Current main thread
Back when I had my last Prime trial in December, all they were offering was Steamworld Heist. Twitch Prime seems to have stepped up its offerings as of this March, and now they appear to be offering a steady 5-6 per month (see list below or attached image) for $13 a month. Of course, that's more expensive than Humble Monthly, and for fewer games (well, for now, at least; we'll see how IGN's plans on changing Monthly go) and they're only available to download through Twitch's proprietary platform- but on the plus side, you don't have to blind-preorder, and it comes bundled with the other Amazon Prime benefits. Most notable, being Prime-based, there's regular opportunities to getting free trials, especially if you're an active student of a college or university.
