Protip: Anytime someone adds/messages you, ask them for a link to their steamtrades profile, and from there click their Steam profile to make sure it's the same.

There are other big warning signs and mistakes made here, but that's just my first piece of advice.

Protip 2: If they say, they don't have one and will not log in there - DELETE FROM FRIENDS.
Protip 3: If they add you and don't know which games you have - DELETE. Scammers mass-add random traders with games.
Protip 4: Never trade for untradeable steamgifts, even when they go first.
Protip 5: Get many legit reps - make all other people go first when trading with you.
Protip 6: Sun blinds you? Cover one eye! Now you can stare directly at it!
Protip 7: Don't look directly at the fucking sun!

About tip 7, what if I really really want to look and promise to only do it for 30 minutes at most, can I do it then?

As a pre-optometry student, I don't recommend step 6. You will burn your retina and go blind.

So he wanted your leftover keys from Indie Gala for his Dishonored key? Nothing fishy here...
Edit: I see you didn't activate games you won and others you won twice. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

^ this.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

The one thing that makes me have zero sympathy for those scammed: they're exceedingly greedy to the point of not questioning too good to be true trades.

Good spot. Guess this whole incident can be put down to karma then :)

Sad to see someone getting scammed, but in this case, MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

I doubt it,I don't think steam support is going to do something about it.They even discourage key trading but I wish you luck!

Who would ever paste a key into a chat box.... Come on bro, gotta be smarter than that. ESPECIALLY if they ask to trade with you first.

Hi, I have the name and avatar of a famous trader with a lot of rep. Nevertheless my profile is probably private or hasn't many games in it. I'm adding people where I don't know what games they have and after you named them, I decide to trade your almost worthless indie bundle key for my brand new AAA game without long thinking time. Of course you should go first with the keys, because I'm the famous trader which you havn't even checked, and my offer is phenomenal. Trading does not require common sense, just believe what others tell you and you will be fine :)

This guy is funny, because he tried to scam a friend of mine with this profile, but he sent the link to MY steamtrades profile. He must have so many impersonator accounts he began to confuse them.

He did scammed me... but I activated the keys before him :P
Also, he is impersonating the real dude, I talked to him and he knew about it but he couldn't do anything.

Dishonored for some indie gala keys? You must be really dumb to fall for this.

There's tons of warnings regarding trades everywhere, Steam, Steamtrades, topics on this forum, nearly any site that has anything to do with trade. And yet you STILL let yourself get scammed? I'm sorry, this'll sound harsh, but you got what you asked for.
