Because it's about time we got something cheaper than americans

Too true, it's £7.99 here in England. If I bought the game as a physical copy from Amazon though, and then add it to Steam. I can still buy the season pass on Steam and it'll all work, right?

I just checked the store, and it's €29,99 -.-
If you search Borderlands 2, it'll say €9,99. But if you click it, it'll say €29,99 -.-

It'll give you all upcoming DLC's for a set price (30$) as soon as they release.

Not all.
It gives you all the planned "add-on campaigns" (four of them) from now until June 2013, which they're calling Season One. There may still be smaller DLC (character class, skins, etc.) along the way that's not included and it wouldn't include any DLC after those four - if they make more, they'd probably create a Season Two pass, depending on the reception.
tl;dr: Season Pass includes the FOUR add-on campaigns scheduled to come out within the year.

None of the DLC scheduled for Season One is done, so no, it couldn't be included at release. They started work on some ideas after the game went gold about a month ago, but that's it. Even the Mechromancer, which is free to pre-orderers, isn't complete yet.

Actually from what I've heard, it is complete, they were even surprised they would finish with it so fast. And to be honest, until they can come up with new ideas, a game is simply not finished. Announcing these new ideas mid-development, and the fact that they will charge everyone for it with the exception of pre-orders seems like a dick move to me. Give a later release date, and just include it on the final game, period.

First of all, you heard wrong - Mechromancer is NOT complete. It was originally scheduled to be released 60-90 days after launch...they are currently ahead of schedule and expect it to be less than 60 days, but there is absolutely no way it would be ready for Day One release.
As for the rest of your comment...wow. Are you really that naive when it comes to game development? I mean, I'm getting my master's in game design, but I really don't think I need that knowledge to understand how the process works.

Knowing Gearbox... No, it will add a couple of hours of extra gameplay

So, the BL2 Season Pass is 30$ in the US, but only 10€ in the EU? Why is that?
Edit: K, they fixed it. I got a copy for €10 :)
