Edit: I cannot read. So, no, you don't get anything. Same goes for foil, it doesn't even have better rare drop odds.
On the other hand, many badges have their best-looking version at level 5 or at foil.

I think he means the end of a badge, with other words just level it to level 5 which would be max.. If that would grant him like a foil badge or likely, you get my point... But I think that's what OP means atleast, anyway it won't grant you any superpowers of any sort ;)
