I've never played a Pokemon game. The whole thing just passed me by. The nostalgia that seems to have drawn millions into Pokemon Go is for me limited to the news report of hundreds of people in Japan having seizures when the strobing on the TV from Pikachu doing its thing on the cartoon induced epileptic fits and the subsequent Simpsons reference to this. These are admittedly powerful good memories (nobody died), but not enough to make me take up any of the games. Are there any that you recommend for a Pokemon virgin?

Stopped playing after Smaragd, which was kinda worse than Gold/Silver and had me disappointed.
But recently, I've been playing Platin on my Smartphone with an emulator, and looking forward to get back to Heartgold which I heard is a pretty awesome remade.
Maybe will try White/Black if I'm hooked after it.

Yeah i'm talking about the new pokemon games,Sun and Moon.
I know that many people is about to tell me that the games suck or that it is the same always , but I've played every pokemon game , since I was a child,with this game I discovered a huge new world, and now with 23 I still love it,not a crazy fan about it,but yeah I have to recognize i'm a fan of pokemon ,sometimes I even think that I might play it with my kids in the future (for me it will be awesome). So what about you guys, I know there must be someone here who is excited too and we can also play together sometimes with the new games :) .
