You should have said yes so new/ignorant users would leave comments more often and please gifters! ╰(▔∀▔)╯

Hmm, knowing some gifters, they aren't too pleased...

Then again them blacklisting those that comment would increase my chances...

It doesn't, but there's nothing wrong with saying thank you in a GA that you particularly like (just avoid a habit of spamming it in everything you enter).

More like it's annoying cause then people get a lot of notification for the exact same comment written by every one.
Like "Thanks for the chance".

Gets a lot easier if you level up to lvl5.

There is absolutely 0 reason to think that.
The lower your level is, the lower your chances are in winning a public giveaway.
If you check: https://www.steamgifts.com/stats/community/users
There are almost 1M level 0 users, whereas less than 6k users of level 5. Huge difference in participant number.
The best way to win giveaways from my perspective is being like maybe lv4 or 5, join one of those private group where you only have to do one good giveaway a month and winning should be easy. Being whitelisted for doing good giveaways would make it easier. Basically contribute to the website and I think one will get better chances.

Interesting idea, but it is probably unlikely. Is a cool concept though.

You have 1/x chance to win any giveaway you join where x is the number of entrants. Reaching a higher level, getting accepted into groups will let you access giveaways with less entries.

Btw it's also a rule on this site that you have to activate your wins on your own account. It's not allowed to regift them.

Yes, provided your comment makes other people less likely to enter (or even better, leave).
For example one may try posting Zalgo text to fool people into thinking their browser is broken, and they will maybe investigate the Zalgo text pseudo-issue instead of entering the GA, thus ma-the-ma-ti-ca-lly increasing your odds to win !
Don't forget, your mileage may vary.

Patience increases your chances. With time, you're bound to win something. There is also groups and bumping your level up to participate in higher level giveaways (usually have fewer entries).

And don't forget, when someone comment, then people will check the profile of the commenter up and see then maybe stuff like multiaccounting on freebie sites, 100 won : 1 gifted or a lot of other stuff they would maybe don't like.
So it's best to only write thank you when you won and be beside that quiet.

Some people blacklist the people spamming too many comments... So best way to keep chances up is to say nothing, apart when you win...

Or, to be active and contributing on forums for whitelists... You never know...

Writing a comment might very well increase winging chance, but it definetly doesn’t increase your winning chance.
