Hey all,

Still have the Steam Discount key from Alienware for the game The Talos Principle? Then here's your chance since it's now on sale on Steam (-75%) and the discount key that you got stacks on top of that to give a nice ol' 88% discount. Got mine for 5€.

I think we have all bought it since the sale started 5 days ago...

Oh, I thought there was a set of particular deals each day since I get a different set of "Today's Deals" on the front page. So they're just cycling through the already existing deals? Derp.

In that case, consider it a reminder for the people who haven't noticed this yet. ;)

Yes, what on the front page is just "today's featured", which means they take some of the running sales and put it out for more exposure. :)

More or less. Some publishers are doing their own Daily Deals, for example Fallout 4 in last few hours got -17%.

I meant the main game without the DLC's. Good luck on winning it!

Got my game for $5 and the main DLC for $5.
Other DLC isnt really that important anyway.

I ran the free package script from SteamDB and it gave me the Serious DLC. Not necessary but will be a fun change for a future playthrough.

Maybe, but I really prefer Elohim voice more.
As for the Serious Sam character skin, its a free workshop item.

Its really not the sort of game you do a second playthrough on. Once you know the puzzles, they are not as much fun the second time.

Achievements. I'm an achievement hunter but I won't ruin my game by checking what they are before I start playing. Any that I miss may well require another playthrough.

What discount key?

Alienware was giving 50% Steam Discount keys for the game a while ago. It's over now unfortunately.

+1, its outrages that the poorer part of europe need to pay same as rich part and more for games than norwegians etc, retard east european hater game developers! thanks god talos was developed by a croatian company and they know that salaries not that high in east europe+balcanic region.

not same amount actually, norvegian store is about 20-25% cheaper than both eu1 and eu2 :D which is awesome if you have someone from norway as a friend though :)

Its a great buy from here if I have the coupon, $2.50 for the game.
I'll just wait for it to be bundled later, if ever.

Its $5 with coupon.

In my region (EU2) is 5,48 without any coupon :P

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

For me (EU2) it's 5€ without the coupon and 2.50€ with the coupon.

That's a pretty good price for it, but then I'd also have to get at least Road to Gehenna which is 3.39€ and in that case it would all cost me around 6€ and I'm not sure I want to spend that much on this game.

is that DLC a must for this game?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well from what I know it doesn't add anything to the actual base game, it's an extension that's supposed to be played after you beat the game and it offers more worlds and puzzles to solve. In that case I guess it's not a must, you can always buy it later since it's something you play after beating the game.

Also happy cake day.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Oh, i thought it adds something crucial to the base game. In this case i will just buy it after i complete the game :D

Thanks for the info and congratulation!

Well, the OP said it has 88% with a coupon, and since it costs 999.99 (The Talos Principle game) here times it with 12% = 120.00 divide it by conversion rate of dollars (48) = $2.50.

I can give mine too. I want to buy it but don't have much to spend and not on games so I will probably buy it but next year and the coupon expires the 31st.

In EU2 price is 2.49€ if using that coupon, too bad in EU 1 and US is 5$/€, still a good game. I don't have more coupons for it anyways.

So I sent you the coupon and you accepted it, but for some reason Steam puts it on hold. I'm seeing this message:

"Trade Accepted 29 Dec, 2015 @ 10:42pm. On hold for 58 hours."

I hope when you finally get the coupon it's still valid...

Permalink

Apparently steam does that when you're not using mobile authenticator e.e

Fingers crossed it will!

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It doesn't look good. 27 hours left for the trade to complete, but the coupon seems to expire earlier (if I understand the time in this post correctly). If you want I can cancel the trade, enable mobile authenticator and try again.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You can't do that, canceling with ban you from trading for 1 week I think. And mobile authenticator will only work after 7 days of using it to remove the trade hold.
