Maybe? If i remember right there are some countries like Germany who bans a lot of games, but you can still gift those games tho people in that country and they can play it.

From what I've experienced and heard from trading, if someone buys a game in their region and trades with you the game, it's the region bought in version and can work in other regions where that game/version is not available.

I remember I traded some game with someone in Australia a game during the winter sale that was censored there, and me trading him the American version I bought gave him the American version even though he had an Australian account. I believe this applies with games not available in regions as well.

This won't work for keys and such though, only through trading.

I'm asking because Dead Island is totally awsome and Germany sucks at thinking. You are allowed to watch SAW or WalkingDead but if you click with a mouse its suddently something else D:

Yes, you can. Dead Island is not available in my country aswell and im able to activate it.

Change steam/game to english and connect to a usa vpn, if u dont do dat u cant PLAY these games but receive works well.
