Sadly my older sister died on 11/1...it was weird being at the hospice the night before with little kids of people dying dressed up. Ever since it just hasn't been the same - sigh. Hopefully some day I can get back into the fun I used to feel for the fun spirit of the holiday.

Dressed as a no-one-in-particular semi-futuristic Cowboy-ish person. Mostly recycled bits of old costumes since I can't afford to be spending moolah on new props this year.

We don't really do Halloween in South Africa. Well, not officially. Some people are trying to start that tradition. On Saturday a friend invited me to his house where they were doing a trick-or-treat run with their children in their suburb. I dressed as a pirate. Also, I'm now a godfather :)

Multi-car Halloween train - have fun and keep your hands inside the car!
As a note - GA's have staggered closing times with the later cars closing later - so if you see the first few cars closing down their bars and snack-food stands, take heart! You may find the further back cars are still offering sustenance :-)
