It's a good school if you see lots of Asians there

Depends on what you're planning to study. Engineering, math, CS? Then definitely go there.
If you have questions about CS there, ask and I'll ask my girlfriend. :)
None of my friends stayed in res. while they were at UW so can't say much about res.

Just gonna hijack this thread for a quick sec: anyone in computer science for Waterloo? I plan on going as I start grade 12 next year and I haven't found solid details on admittance and such. Seems to be widely disputed so I ask: what averages are needed to get in an what factors affect getting in. I heard a lot of kids at my school with low 90 averages were rejected this year.

A friend of mine was accepted into Waterloo. He had an average in the 90s and his final 12U computer science mark this year was a 95%. He also took 12U fun-cal.
He turned down their offer because by the time they sent it out he had already accept University of Toronto.

haha, just when there's a thread of bumping old threads
but I think you're fine, you're not spamming much. I have a friend going there this fall, she's in for computer science.

I have just two quick questions for you guys/gals. Does anybody here attend the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada? Just wanting to know since this is where I really want to attend university in the fall. Also, if you do, what is it like? I am planning in staying in residence, but I don't really know what most people think of residences at Waterloo.
P.S. I plan to hopefully get my Masters in Psychology
