Are you going for education or the experience?

If it's education, then the rest shouldn't matter.

I plan on going there next year if they accept me :)

Hopefully headed there next year as well. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

My wife is attending via correspondence from here in Western Canada to get her Masters in Math. She has been very satisfied with the courses and materials so far! The place has a good reputation.

Depends on what you're planning to study. Engineering, math, CS? Then definitely go there.

If you have questions about CS there, ask and I'll ask my girlfriend. :)

None of my friends stayed in res. while they were at UW so can't say much about res.

I live in Waterloo, but I don't go to the University. Lots of friends do/did, they seem to like it.

Not sure about the residences though but I can help you with any questions about the area if you want to add me.

Waterloo is nice. My friend goes there. The res is okay, but it's cheapest if you know how to cook. It's one of my choices next year.

For me Waterloo was somewhere in Belgium..

I want to bump this topic because I want to know who is officially heading to University of Waterloo this September. As I hope to meet you there!

Just gonna hijack this thread for a quick sec: anyone in computer science for Waterloo? I plan on going as I start grade 12 next year and I haven't found solid details on admittance and such. Seems to be widely disputed so I ask: what averages are needed to get in an what factors affect getting in. I heard a lot of kids at my school with low 90 averages were rejected this year.
