Made a mistake for my two recent giveaways. What do I do?

One of them had a region restriction that didn't appear on GMG and so I set it as unrestricted. But the GA winner from Russia is unable to activate it.

Is deleting it and remaking the giveaway with excluding the RU+CIS region fine if I get the winner's permission?

The other had a region restriction only for China and should work globally otherwise. But in creating the giveaway I seem to have made it the opposite. This one is definitely my fault, but this was an honest mistake due to being a bit unfamiliar with the UI. Any suggestions?

Currently you should always assume that a game key is region locked from Russia, unless it specifically states otherwise.

All you can do is make a support ticket and request the deletion of the giveaway where you made the region China only.

Is it usually the entire RU+CIS region or is the region lock usually only specific to Russia?

RU+CIS seem to be getting region locked out of everything due to the war.

Normally this mainly happens to regions with largely different currency exchange rates, to keep people from gaming the system.

Yes, open a ticket but the winner of Space Cows have seen the key and he could give it to another person so you are not sure anymore if that key will work for another giveaway.

If the key has already been used you can delete it (ask the winner for permission anyway but he has to always agree).

You lose 1 giveaway slot everytime you fail, so now you have only 1-2 slots left. Be careful -_-

Don't worry, you can submit a ticket to support and ask for more GA slots. They add some, no questions asked. It's everyone's benefit not to close out users because of honest mistakes.
