I received a temp ban when I first started using this site for posting an invite code to another site without realizing that it's actually considered a referral and I've won 45 games since that's happened. A temp ban has absolutely no effect on you actually being able to win something here, it's still completely random.

ive also thought this too, entered over 500 since i was last banned, not a single win. must be some kind of blacklist staff put you on

I've never been suspended but I've also never won any games. Maybe the more you get suspended the better your chances of winning!

Only being banned permanently lowers your chances.

I've only been suspended once for making fun of someone and bumping a month old thread doing it (didn't see how old it was) but my suspension was lifted early because I apologized to both the guy, and to the staff of SteamGifts. But no, I didn't win immediately aftwerwards... It doesn't lower your chance, it doesn't raise... In fact, you can win a gift while suspended I think, you just can't redeem it until you get back on.

Being suspended does not prevent you from winning unless being in "good standing" with SG is a pre-condition for the giveaway. You can win while suspended. If your suspension prevents you from redeeming your win, however, that could be a problem.
