For anime lots of people don't talk about it while they actually like it, some people bash don't like it because they only now the stereotypical side: Anime is for kids and it's commercial Pokemon, YuGi-O & Beyblade and the rest is gore like Van Helsing. (Thank you RTL II). But then Dragonball was cool
Basically in the end I would say it's always easy from the outside. Attack is always easier then defense. They now little and the rest is prejudice or knowledge from the rotten apples, which sadly always exist and then go into media.
For me I would say I was not part of any subculture but I know a few goths and probably they are the nicest kindest creative and open minded people I met.

With my colleagues, I have the undeserved reputation that I never make mistakes and anything I do works the first time.
This is not true -- I just put a lot of effort into 1) not making mistakes twice and 2) not making them where they will have actual impact.

I'm writing about this while watching a medium with a lousy reputation, Anime. Actually, a video essay on that, specially it's problem with loli nudity reminded me about this series I've been meaning to watch. Made In Abyss looks p cool, I hope it's good.
Enough about that though, I gotta live up to the attention whore I am and bring the subject back to me. I'm a fucking loser who does nothing ever. But I'm fucking awesome, according to everyone else I know. To My boss I'm a party girl. My nightlife is filled with drinking ad clubbing and not watching youtube while eating Italian Ice.And to my coworkers, and mom, and grandparents, and well, a lot of my family, I'm a satanist. Apparently the satanic panic is till alive and well in 2018, but that's southern Christians for ya. Wearing black and punk music was enough to convince the rest. Satanism sounds a lot more badass and cool than being a loser stuck in the 2000's and hanging on to a subculture that's a decade dead. I miss Emo.
To my mom, I'm a huge fucking slut. I can barely talk to people, but anyone I manage to stumble through a "conversation" with I'm obviously sleeping with. Friends don't exists, anytime I'm hanging out I'm hooking up. The weirdest think is she knows I have a girlfriends.
