I have no steaks to share, but you can find a small train of bundled games here (L0+, with some additional restrictions which almost everyone* should be able to pass).

Properly done well done isn't that bad. Then again it isn't easy task and takes time...

Medium rare. As in, cooked just to the point where it stops bleeding. nothing past that.

By fresh I meant your steak still hasn't finished chewing the grass.

Eh, I never understood why people are so keen on eating almost raw meat. I wouldn't even want to take a bite of something like that.

I'm surprised to see well done the highest voted. Usually anywhere on the internet you mention you like well done steak is met with overwhelming hatred. I personally like medium well the best, but I often have it well done too. Well done doesn't have to mean burned or dry, if you do it right it can turn out very tasty and juicy. Definitely is trickier, though.

Just like with music, movies etc. "If your taste is different from mine you're an idiot!"

Actually I think I prefer it bit redder than that. But then again I don't know if anyone has really defined exactly what each doness is. Apart from blue which is charred, but raw.

How do you know that the steaks you have eaten where not proper?

If we define steak as a cut of beef then I haven't eaten that yet - we quite rarely eat beef, and then most often prepared as a kind of stew. Or prepared as a thinner slice with some seasoning, often in a brine.

Thanks for the explanation. If you like meat, I suggest adding beef steaks to your to-eat list ;-)

I'm absolutely up for it - while I don't really know how much difference I can expect taste-wise from the various steaks, I really like the concept of simple, but well-done (pun, if you wish so) foods - some food does not require exotic stuff to be outstandingly good, but attention and care. Simple recipes can be fantastic from a very handful of ingredients if one takes good care about it :)

First time I hear about Sous Vide cooking method. I learn a lot from this thread. Thank you! :-)

I first heard about the reverse sear (first cook the steak to the required doneness in the oven and afterwards sear it in a pan) which produced a much better result. About a year ago I first heard about Sous Vide and while it is certainly a quite elaborate and time intensive method the result is just amazing :) Glad that I could contribute something useful to the thread!

The filter requires Level 2 users (or higher) to have at least $10 worth of CV sent in public giveaways, but I'm willing to wave it off in your case if you create a public giveaway for any game. Up for the challenge? :-)

It's fine, better to let those who meet the requirements get the entries. :)

Also I don't have anything to give away besides a few DLC :P

If you change your mind know that any DLC would do too. I'm not picky.

BTW, the brilliant thing about public giveaways (especially Level 0) is that you get so many entries for anything you create a GA for. Try it. It's mostly fun ;-)

Medium well. Softness and a little hint of pink are lovely. I can also eat well done or, if absolutely certain about the quality of the meat, medium. But definitely not medium rare or rare. I like it when my steak is and looks dead. Though I have no beef with, pun intended, people who like either extreme anyway.

Thank you bump even though I didn't enter for anything.

Also Well done, I don't even like looking at pink in a steak. It just turns me off.

I don't really like steaks... but if I absolutely had to eat one, I'd probably go with well done. But... Can I have chicken instead?

Edit: ..... aaaaand pour loads of sauce over it.
