[Steam] Battlefield 1, 4 and 5 (95% OFF - Historical Low)

4 had okay singleplayer. 1 also had campaign but it's very short

Battlefield 1 campaign was good. Battlefield 4 campaign was just OK

I have I and V. The campaigns there are considered short, but I don't think so, there are ~6 hours of gameplay there, and they are really good. And online is fun, I'm telling you this as a person who doesn't like online.

Battlefield 1 campaign visually and some of the stories are very very good

Hardline is the best for single player, the others campaigns are short but really fun. For that price/hour it's a steal !

This is because Steam only has the special editions, which are twice as expensive

thanks for the warning I'll make a note of it on my launcher not to play these in my library, or at least do it on a steamdeck or some throwaway PC with nothing else on it

A good shout, that.

Though what really gets me is that despite Punkbuster being so intrusive, it's also also been around forever and still not a very reliable anticheat. Even when completely zeroing bullet spray patterns and snap-locking to targets at absolute max visual distance, cheaters have been able to clear servers for extended periods of time without being touched. I mean, sure, it'll have been updated over the many years it's been active, but it was bemusing to have memories of it from when Battlefield 2 was 'recent', and then join on the tail end of Battlefield 3 and find the same behaviours were still flaunted.

Maybe I expect too much from anticheats in online games (I can't say I know what things they monitor and what refinements they undergo), but if we sacrifice that level of intrusion then it should have been for a noteworthy increase in efficacy over less intrusive methods, surely?

Tbh i love battlefield (played dozens of hours on Origin, but almost none on Steam except to sync the achievements) but if you want to 100% it'll be very complicated. BF1 you've to find codex entries in the campaign, and it'll be a pain.
BF4 it seems that servers are back but not yet fixed, players say high ping, but some achievements requiere modes not often played, and when i played it long ago, some modes were mostly never played.
BF5 almost didn't play it, but looking at the achievements some are crazy hard too (for example destroy 5 static weapons while on a plane), and frontline is probably almost never played in multiplayer.

Still it's very good prices, tons of hours of fun if you manage to pass not being able to 100% probably.

Played BF4 for more than 500 hours, it is pretty great.

yeah, similar here, I was missing just BF4 and BF Hardline, so I bought them this time.
But it would be nice to have them all on steam.
