Srry don't have a GA for you atm :( but need your help

So I Bought a new video card, an Asus GTX 660 ti now I'm kinda worried... I don't want my pc to die because of the power supply or something, so here are my specs,

CPU: AMD Fx 6100 6-core 3.31GHz

GPU: Asus GTX 660 ti

Mainboard: Asus Crosshair V Formula

RAM: 6GB

PSU: Xcase Power Supply Atx 800w

The pc works, i can turn it on and the video card apparently works, am i good to go?

Thanks for the help :D

Having an insufficient PSU won't kill your PC, it would simply shut down. I don't know the exact consumption of each of your components but 800W is a lot and should easily power most systems. If you really want to be on the safe side, you can check your components online, see how much power they need and do the math, but like I said, 800W is a lot.

With an 800W PSU you have nothing to worry about.

Oh ok :D was just wondering because before the GTX I had a GT430... and that had no need for it's own connection to the PSU D:

I think what you probably should've been shopping for...was a security system?

Your card consume 150 watts on full load, your Fx-6100 must be around 100 and the rest is negligible (hdd at around 5-10 watts idle and might go up to 40 watts when they start). Unless you want 3 660ti in in SLI you have no reason to worry about anything! You can use this whenever in doubt: http://www.msi.com/service/power-supply-calculator/

ive only read the title of this thread and i must say no you are in grave danger. a good friend of mine was beaten to a bloody pulp overnight by an alleged "new" video card. Turns out this card was not new and had a horrible history behind it....if only we knew then what we knew now.... for shame

Edit:on the brighter side yes 880w should be more than enufff (to fuel its bloodlust)
