What?
What a world when people associate some reference with a movie rather than with actual history. A movie that itself is an adaptation of a comic book.
In this case the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 when a bunch of catholics in the newly united Great Britain got fed up with the protestant regime and so conspired to basically blow said regime to hell and place a catholic back on the throne. It's curious that people now associate the plot and date with anarchism when it was anything but. I'm sure Mr. Fawkes would be proud that his legacy consists of his caricature being sold and used en mass by people who construed his mission completely backwards.
Also the movie was good if very simplistic. Still not as good as the graphic novel it's an adaptation of.
