You can start here:
Level 1

As usual:
DO NOT post ANYTHING that could give away an answer.
DO NOT post links to other levels.
DO try out some of the games i've used. They're all great.

ERRORS & Notes
Lvl 1, Q1: I buggered it up. Use the image as a guide only. The game I'm referring to was the first in the series (just omit any numbers)
Lvl 1, Q6: - I forgot to mention to use the UK name for the game and the franchise it's from. It's slightly different to the US name. Just google it.
Lvl 1, Q7: - It does say on the page, but just in case you dont see it, UK name again, Not US

Anything else will be added later on.

All giveaways close at 7pm GMT, Sat 10th. Google that too, if you dont know GMT

Thanks for the puzzle! Just a heads up, there's a minor error on the first question. I don't think mentioning that is spoiling anything, but if you'd like me to elaborate privately or change the contents of this post, let me know.

Is question 2 supposed to be this hard?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's not hard. It's not just as simple as the protagonists name. Google the clues you have from the picture and youll get to a related youtube video or wikipedia page, im sure

Stuck on level 2 cause I don't know how you want things spelled out :(

Use no punctuation. For example, if there was a Mr, use "Mr" not, "Mr."
Other than that, Q1 uses the full title, 2 & 3 are professional names, 5 & 6 are first names

In the midst of working on Lvl 1, looking at your errors and notes I think I should let you know Q7 also has a different name in the US than in Europe. Thanks for the giveaways btw, always love a good puzzle!

Yeah, it's not hard, it's just that you didn't included different ways to write the name except yours.
And ironically yours was wrong.

He's right, the European name isn't supposed to have a space.

Something is odd with Questions 2 and 3 of Level 2. The names that I've come up with from Google aren't working, and I can't seem to find any other names. (You know, like how UK names are different if it was ported from the US to UK)

To be specific, for Q2, there doesn't seem to be a different name for that character, and I used the name from the sprite sheet gotten from Spriter's Resource of that game.

Q3, I used multiple variations of his english and japanese names, and none of them seem to work. Which is odd, since I have fond memories of reading the comics and playing the early era of games that fellow stars in.

Edit: Just realized that you apparently don't like punctuating things. Its a bit ingrained for me, so I'm gonna try the "." less versions.

Edit2: Yep, "." less versions it was.

Try doing it without any "punctuation". If you still have a problem, reply and i'll check it.

Edit: Sorry!

Same here. I used to have a collection of 200+ games, but I had to sell them due to moving abroad.

Too bad, my video game stopped working and I do not remember why I did not buy another. Shortly after I ended getting rid of the games.

I have one complaint about bonus round - I tried numbers 2 and 9 without "the" in their titles and it didn't recognize them. At first I thought I got 2 wrong, but clearly recognized 9 and then it struck me.
EDIT: Finished the bonus round. I can't get two first characters in round 2.

Well, it was fun solving it this far but Lvl 2's first question stalled me for good. I don't think I stand a chance against it as google doesn't bring up anything, and I obviously must have missed playing the game itself. Still, thanks for the puzzles, it was fun!
