So finally I get to spend on my first gaming rig, and I'm so excited. Finally I can play those AAA titles in ultra settings. and coming from a potato I'm shocked by the difference. Anyway just wanted to blurt it out somewhere. Here's a GA for you all. Anyway, stay safe out there!

I suppose you pay a lot. However, no laptop would reach the performance of a computer no matter how much you invest in it. Have fun on gaming!

I did, and yes, of course not, due to heating... but this is perfect for me at the moment

If you saved for so long, why not take a proper desktop pc instead of laptop? Congratulations anyway, I upgraded earlier this year, so I know how it feels)

Mainly because I don't have the space for a desktop. But it's also because I can't afford a desktop + another laptop to do my work outside etc. This is perfect atm for me

Enjoy! I felt that way some years ago as well, when all I had was a crappy laptop, and then upgraded to my beautiful PC <3

Congrats!
I know that feeling, when you can finally run those games on ultra setting and stop caring about tweaking graphics anymore.

I am curious about the battery life tho, can you please come back and let us know if you truly were able to work with that laptop 8 hours without charging it (in office or university)?
The reason i am curious is because gaming laptops tend to have a shitty battery life, e.g mine dies after 1h 30, so it is kinda useless to even carry it to university.
I am just thinking of buying some cheap lenovo laptop with a great battery life, because imho gaming laptops are only good for gaming purposes, nothing else (too heavy, short battery life, terrible display).

I havent been able to test it at uni atm, (obviously), but I did run it (50% screen brightness), mix of youtube, surfing websites and idle, no gaming and that got me slightly more than 6 hours on battery. This laptop is made of magnesium so it's super light and slim. very portable too. Display is at 144hz, although the rgb isnt perfect, but still colour accurate. imo it's perfect. fan does get loud when gaming, but i during surfing the fan noise isn't very loud. You can also go quiet mode to disable the fan.

It's true that gaming laptops tend to only focus performance but this laptop is really special. It was developed by intel and sold by various pc makers according to your region. (EU=XMG Fusion 15; US=Mag-15; Australia/Asia=Aftershock Vapor 15 etc etc)

Kudos on the new laptop! I'm definitely changing mine as heating issues are literally turning it into a stove every time I try to run even old games like Mass Effect (no kidding) but Im still hesitating between a laptop and a desktop because I honestly don't ever take my gaming laptop anywhere so might as well get a box with proper airflow and hardware that can be upgraded.

Definitely will look into this one though because it feels rad.
