Did you know Queen Elizabeth can’t sit on the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones? In fact, she can't sit on any thrones except her's. Queen Elizabeth visited the set of Game of Thrones, but because of an obscure rule, she wasn’t allowed to sit on it – the ruling monarch can’t sit on a foreign throne, even if it’s fictional, apparently.

Queen has interesting/strange privileges. One is that she doesn't need a passport to travel since all the documents are given in her name. She doesn't even need car license / plates. But she does know how to drive one. She was taught how to drive one when she was serving as medic in wartime.

A venomous lizard once entered a DMV in the American Southwest. After trying many other things to get it to leave, the employees took its picture and issued it a driver’s license. The lizard immediately left after that.

Many think that the Albert Einstein received a Nobel Prize for his theory of relativity. This is not true. In 1905, he published not only the famous special theory of relativity, but two more important works: the theory of the photoelectron effect and the theory of Brownian motion.

Lobsters used to be popular prison food.
No one liked these “sea insects” back in the early 1900s, so they were given to prisoners who complained that they were fed lobsters too often.
It wasn’t until after WWII that lobsters were considered a delicacy.

Yeah, it's pretty insane how time changes these things. Heard Isaac Toups talk about it in one of his cooking videos (likely crawfish boil) that cajun cooking has so many seafood recipes because it was cheap and simple to get. Cheap to the point that it was a base for mocking if someone had lobster sandwich in the school too often!

Humans aren’t the only animals that dream
Studies have indicated rats dream about getting to food or running through mazes. Most mammals go through REM sleep, the cycle in which dreams occur, so scientists think there’s a good chance they all dream.
I am on occasion dream about food so maybe i am spiritual rat?

Sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS) is sudden unexpected death of adolescents and adults, mainly during sleep. In 1980 a reported pattern of sudden deaths brought attention to the Centers for Disease Control. The first reported sudden death occurred in 1948 when there were 81 series of similar deaths of Filipino men in Oahu County, Hawaii. However, it did not become relevant because there was no pattern associated. This syndrome continued to become more significant as years went on. By the year of 1981-1982, the annual rate in the United States was high with 92/100,000 among Laotians-Hmong, 82/100,000 among other Laotian ethnic groups, and 59/100,000 among Cambodians. Notably, Wes Craven came up with thhe idea for A Nightmare on Elm Street when a Cambodian kid died in his sleep. He had reportedly told his parents that he was afraid to fall asleep because something was chasing him in his dreams and trying to catch him.

Plastic Easter eggs and plastic Easter grass were invented by a man who holds more patents than Thomas Edison.
If you've ever enjoyed an Easter basket with plastic eggs and grass, then you can thank Donald Weder, the man who invented both. Weder not only holds the patents on these holiday staples, he also holds a total of 1,413 U.S. patents - including ones for water-based inks, flower-pot covers, and decorative wrappers. That's compared to Thomas Edison, who held just 1,093 U.S. patents.

This is going to be such a fun thread.
There were people killed by the atom bombs in Japan who were born in Japan's samurai era. Japan's military modernized rapidly, and went from swords, pole weapons and bows to tanks and planes within the span of a single human's lifetime.

"Once in a blue moon" means very rarely.
Blue moon is nowadays ( ~ last 3-4 decades) defined as a calendar month's second full moon. The older meaning defined it as the third full moon of a season, that has four full moons ( occured about every 2.7 years)

It does! I know I experience different taste based on location and brand (when dealing with bottled waters)

'The average male gets bored of a shopping trip after 26 minutes.' which I find very funny, because I, as a female, get bored of it way before the 26 minutes XD
Yes, it's a boring one but it made me giggle! I hate shopping so much!
Ps. I am not interested in a random key, just wanted to join the random fact thing ^^

I love self checkout as well. I want to get in, get it, and get out without having to talk to random people.

I pay groceries with cash to keep an eye on how much I spend and the self checkout are card only so I never use those, I also don't mind the talking to someone, but I like to be practical, I go shopping if I need something, not for 'fun' and I buy what I need and leave again so: in, grab, pay, out and off to home again!

Sharks are older than trees. Sharks have existed for around 400 million years, while trees became their own official species only 350 million years ago. By the way, some sharks can live for five centuries. Greenland Sharks are especially known for being some of the oldest living animals since 2014, when researchers did carbon dating on a Greenland Shark and found it to be around 392 years old. Oh, and if a shark ever stop swimming, it will just sink down. Most sharks even have to keep swimming to pump water over their gills. It surely is a long tiring life, but the Greenland Shark is somewhat softer than other sharks. They swim slowly and won't reach sexual maturity until they're 150 years old, though.

The Bull Shark is one of my favorites for its ability to swim between salt and fresh water with ease.

Turtles and tortoises are not scientifically different. They also have cloacaes so they poop and pee out of the same hole

We all know the world's most resilient animal is the tardigrade - the animal that can survive in space, withstand immense pressure, incredible temperatures on almost one end of the spectrum to the other (the other side is pretty much open-ended), and radioactive rays that could fry any other animal a thousand times over*.
BUT! Do you know tardigrade can only live to the ripe old age of 2.5 years old? That is provided that it isn't located in some extreme environment that would put it into "cryo" or more specifically, cryptobiosis.
More about tardigrades: Search it up on Google... you'll be astounded! :)
*
These are the actual numbers if you're interested :)
can withstand temperatures from near absolute zero up to 151o Celsius, pressures ranging from vacuum up to 6,000 times normal sea-level pressure on Earth, and radiation doses of up to 5,000 Gray. (1,000 times higher than any other known animal).
Another fun fact - did you know that the average sea depth is only around 350-380 times the normal sea-level pressure and that the deepest part of the ocean The Mariana Trench, which is 11km deep, exerts only approx 1100 times the normal sea-level pressure?
Source: https://www.pmel.noaa.gov/eoi/nemo1998/education/pressure.html + I had to do a bit of math after googling the depth of the Trench :P

Ever got the spins from being drunk? You'd probably think that's because alcohol affects your nervous system(or effects? Some native speaker please help me :D)
But that is not true. In your inner ear, there are little hairs inside a fluid, that sense your position in space. Now alcohol diffuses slower inside this fluid as it does in the structure around, which messes with the perception of those hairs, and you think you are spinning event though you do not.

So I got a lot of good feed back from the last round of random keys I gave away. So I am going to do this one a little different. Comment here with a random fact that you find interesting and I will send you a friend request on Steam to send you the key/link. I have 21 and I actually know what these ones are. I already have all of these games and I just want to share them. When we talk I will give you a couple of options for games and I ask that you please take one that you don't already own.
EDIT: I also have one that is for music software.
