I think you're misunderstanding.
The key only expires if not activated by a specific date. If it is activated before expiring you still keep the game forever.

If you had the embed page address (which people posted here) you could submit for a key anywhere in the world. A VPN would work too. And it lasted for at least 8 hours, because I managed to get one too, and I'm from Brazil.

I'm not saying that people weren't able to use VPN and so on to grab keys.
I'm saying that I'm living in a Europe and I have work which doesn't allow me to sit down with my mobile, browse through forums and try to get free keys.
Promotions like these should last for at least 24h. And I think that they have ended it prematurely, because people from outside Europe were grabbing keys. There is no way they have set up promotion for that strange duration (less than 12h, part of it during night). It's easy to check from where people are - even SG is able to check correctly users region.

While it sucks if you missed it because of the short GA,that just how life works,shit happens.
You know how many GA's i missed on this site because they where made while i was sleeping or ended while i was sleeping,or how many missed because they where only up for a few hours??
Look,this GA was meant to last longer,or until all keys where gone,so not knowing how many keys they had,it is obvious they ran out pretty quick.
You can not give away something you do not have,so when keys where depleted the GA ended.

I'm just saying that they have made this promotion really poorly. Both Bioshock Infinite and X-COM: Enemy Unknown were available for long time, at least long enough, for everyone who'd like to have it to grab it. This was quick, most probably poorly made and ended prematurely.
I was never really interested in this game, so not big loss for me. But it can be unfortunate for people who'd like to play in it and won't be able bc of the way they handed free keys this year.

I think because those ones where tied to Voting,i think they pretty much had way more then enough.As i never heard of them running out,though i could be wrong as i was only around for the X-com and later voting ones,and well the last one was a 1.00 purchase one.
I am betting that keys where unlimited for those as the publisher most likely supplied extra keys if needed.As they always said those where limited to supply but they some how never run out,and i am sure millions had voted.
But yeah it sucks for those who missed the one for DS,but they never stated how many keys,but i expected it to run out fast as a lot people want and like DS series.

It still was to do with them,regardless of who handed out the keys,it was from voting,so yes Golden had a hand in it.
Point was they offered the games for voting and people got them regardless of who hands them out.
That like you making a huge contest and hiring someone to hand out the prizes for you,and saying that you had little to do with nobody getting the prizes,because the people you hired did most of the work,even know you are the one that hosted the contest and promised prizes.
Also it is related as they as games radar and golden site are owed and run by the same company,GMG may have handed out keys and such but they are the only ones not directed a part of Golden or Games Radar other then handing the keys,but Golden is the one who hosted the votes to earn said keys,so i do not see how you say it is unrelated.
And i never had any issue getting any keys Golden offered,so i have faith i will get my key,as nothing they have done in the passed has made me think other wise.I admit they did this one a bit odd and so forth.
And i may not get my key,but until the time has passed and i have no key i will have faith i will get it,and even i do not i will not grab pitchforks over a free game i did not get.

So either they make a gigantic giveaway, or they shouldn't even bother? I disagree with you. It's very common for promotions to last until a given date or until the supply ends. The latter was probably what happened. I don't blame them for 1 second for making it available for 8 to 10 hours. This was enough time anyway for you to sleep and wake up, or to go to work and get home. Seriouly, if it were available for 1 or 2 hours I would understand you, but almost half a day/half a night? Nah.

I'm working in a lab, so I can't eat at my workplace. And it's better to quicklky eat sandwich than taking out box full of something and eat it on crowdy corridor xD, it would require taking dirty box with me back to home, where I can just eat my sandwich and throw out plastic bag :P

Here by law you have no more than 15 min of break to eat something and not every employee looks kindly if you'd like to spent more time on it xD
I'm working in nice place, but I just don't have time to go somewhere and stop working. When you have protocol which states "heat this samples for 5 min, then cool for 10 minutes, vortex it and add something" you can't go out and make yourself a break.

We both know you dont literally work for 8 hours none-stop, you MUSt have breaks and it some countries it's even illegal to force you to work more than 6 hours, which means you got 2 hour breaks :X

You can have here more than these 15 min of breaks if you're working 8h sitting in front of computer (5 min per 1 hour of sitting), when you're making really repetitive work all the time (so it's something like mounting TV screens in TV frame) or you're underage. There are no other breaks given by law, and if it's not mandatory noone really will give you extra time to do nothing.
Well you can have 1-hour lunch break, but if employee agree on something like this it's unpaid. So to effectively work of 8 hours per day (so getting full salary) you have to spent 9 hours in work.
And if you're working for less than 6 hours per day you're not allowed to even have this 15 min break xD

I meant, a non-immersive approach to cleaning yourself :P You're not surrounding your entire body in water, just washing a part at a time. (ie, washing your face, washing your hands, versus bathing your body).
Since bathing specifically means an immersive washing, that's the basis for wash indicating a non-immersive approach. :)

Technically, you're bathing under a shower. Showering specifically refers to bathing under separated sprays/droplets of water.
Hence why rain is often called a shower, eg "spring showers".

Maybe I should clarify what I mean by "...doesn't seem real.". I don't mean that I think the giveaway is actually fake, but rather that this is for time-limited access or something, not a full Steam key and fully-activated game that we get to keep forever. Usually they would make you jump through more hoops or make the promo more flashy for a full game giveway of this caliber. It's just so plain and unadorned.

I will agree how they did this was odd,but maybe they are trying to see if they can handle giving keys themselves only they know there motives.
The way i understood it was the keys had to redeemed before set time or you could not no longer use them,and more and more sites that give away keys are doing this,i suspect some of it is to counter people from hoarding them and selling them later and so forth.As why give out a key just to revoke it 30 days later,and on top of that make you wait 7 days to get said key.It seems like a lot of work for just getting your e-mail and putting a black eye on there name and Golden Joystick,which are owned and run by the same company as Games Radar.
Also Bandai Namco they way i understood things was hosting these keys,and with DS III around the corner,it a good way to get people to play the first one and try up-sell the other 2.
Also saying it looks fake would imply you thought it was no way around that,and also does not seem real would mean you have doubts of it being real,so you still think it may be fake.
In the end...i doubt it was fake,as why would they tarnish there name over this,when they get so little out of it,other then a email and said Steam ID,which my i add is public info anyhow.
