Hey guys,
Just wanted to know is there a way to play CS 1.6 on a 64 bit OS? When i start it i can hear the music and when i move my mouse i hear noises. I know this is because of 64 Bit OS but i can fix it? I tryd going to properties, compatability and tried even going to system properties, remote settings, advanced, performence, data execution prevention and adding Hl.exe and counter-stirke.exe. But nothing works. Any ideas?

Try changing your video mode to D3D.
Also I can run GoldSrc games on 64 bit with no problem.

Maybe pirate version that you are using is bad (only some pirate versions have counter-strike.exe :P ). Buy original, it's cheap, and it's working. :)

CS runs fine for me on x64 system. Then again mine is the Steam version.
You can try playing around with some compatbility settings, perhaps that would help.
