Swat 4, not on steam actually, but swat 3 has been released on steam so maybe it's not definitive.

SWAT 4 seems to be the best choice so far from page one here. It´s aged perfectly fine and still has no other game rivaling it´s core gameplay (restraining suspects instead of barging in and headshotting them all). The tension is real when any surrendered suspect might pick their weapon up again once you turn your back on ´em. It´s crazy how no other studio has reached that level of AI finesse again.

You could buy the Warcraft 1 +2 bundle, it just came out!

Yeah i saw that, but the remaster is supposedly coming on battle.net "soon", no? I'm not huge into Blizzard games since i stopped Diablo 2 tho.
For Warcraft 2 i don't find it very interesting now, for nostalgia sake maybe but it aged a lot. I'm more into Supreme Commander Forged Alliance kind of RTS.

Yup, was good back in the days, but D2 largely beated it in terms of quality of life (i'm not sure but you couldn't run in D1?) and D2 is damn old now too. Shame about the big fail Blizzard did with the announcement of... Immortal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5QRgpjfarY

Yes, playing the original Diablo (without the Hellfire expansion) is somewhat painful in terms of QoL stuff, but I clenched my teeth and tried it, anyway. It was still a blast to play.
I understand where you're coming from, however. I recently gave up trying to enjoy D3 and am ready to return to D2-LoD. One of the best games ever made, imho.

Haha, i finished it multiple times tho. But never touched D3, never would.

I've only finished Diablo five or six times. As for D2, I think I had about 7K hours in it when I stopped playing. You are probably better off for not having experienced the disappointment which is D3.

I haven't gotten around to that one, yet. I looks good, though. Nice reviews, too.

Isn't that the one where you literally wearing in a T-shirt in the middle of a Fantasy setting before somehow you got sucked in it? :D I can remember the demo i had from some video game magazine. Could try that one :)

Agreed; Nox was an absolute blast, and most of the humor was top-notch. The woman who played the villain is a national treasure.

Yup with CorsixTH, theme hospital is damn good. Played a lot of it, but now i'm a bit more interested if Project Hospital and Two Point Hospital are worth it.

Rayman 2 had a lot of ports over the years, but I always heard the most praise for the Dreamcast version.

I'm never really was interested in platformers (the only one i had the patience with is Rogue Legacy, funny since it's not easy at all). But could be cool, i recently bought a pair SNES controller from a chinese website, maybe if i can make it work right i will go full heresy and play a old pc game with a snes controller :D

Oh boi, those look interesting but... damn, i don't know if i would have the patience, Sacred is on steam too tho.

Dark Colony isn't listed on gog (but it was great, played it a lot back in the days, the alien faction was so ridiculous x)

Just remembered about one other RTS, Warbreeds. Shame they don't have it too :/

Aaaand, not on gog :(

Idk, Warlords 3 got stuck in my head and i never bothered to try the others (got it for free with a magazine).
Oh boi. Just saw they have Total Annihilation Kingdoms, such a good game! :p

DK2 was a blast, but War for the Overworld spoiled me so much i don't know if i love more the remake or the original https://store.steampowered.com/app/230190/War_for_the_Overworld/

I was going to recommend Dungeon Keeper too, but it's good to see you're already familiar with both that and War for the Overworld.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!?
Oh man that sucks.
Severance is pretty much Dark Souls from before DS was DS. It's part of my three S power-combo. Severance, Startopia and Sacrifice, though the latter two are on steam now, and Sacrifice is difficult enough that I imagine most people would dislike it. Is sad day!

Oh yes! This one was a blast. Never really knew how to play well back in the days but i liked watching my failed plans on the "live" phase x)

EE, it aged a lot. It seems to make it work properly in HD and with newer machines it's... hard. Had good fun with it tho.

I always liked these ones...

I mean the 1989 / 1990 DOS version. Was playable on my XT machine with monochrome graphics along with "North and South" and Simcity.

i'm still hoping that they are going to change their region price policy someday

Beneath a Steel Sky was the reason I signed up on gog some 5+ years ago. Not a good reason to spend the rest of your eurobucks though, because it's free!

Clive Barker's Undying is a really good (but old) horror FPS.

My wish list, which only contains games which I won't get on Steam for various reasons.
https://www.gog.com/u/pizzahut/wishlist
HoMM3 for the reasons you mentioned.
The Last Crusade because it's unavailable on Steam in my region.
Konung 1 is missing on Steam (so half of this package).

Hello everyone, I have a big Steam library but we all know this is never enough. Recently i bought Heroes III Complete edition on GOG, because the HD edition steam provides sucks big time (they don't include the dlcs since they lost the source). GOG used to be only for "old games" but not anymore, the old gems are flooded behind recent drm free releases so.... Here is my question :
Can you recommend OLD gems that aren't on Steam already?
For now i already have:
Please give me good reasons to spend the rest of my eurobucks on GOG :)
Thanks!
