Why not? This is Westeros!!

You know, there is a script written by Martin for his editor at 1993. The original plan was a love triangle between Tyrion/Arya/Jon so I think JonSa is way better than the original plan. And don't worry, this is not a spoiler since Martin changed his mind about this part.

Mainly because, for some reason, I really start to dislike Sansa whereas I've got a small crush on Jon.
He can get so much better than her!

Sansa was influenced too much from the Lannisters and Little Finger so she has become to love "the game of thrones" as Tyrion calls the political plots. And to be honest, I think Jon is a little ambitious too, specially when it comes about the Lordship of Winterfell. If they both have a children, they will have a very strong claim to the North. I think Sansa wants the Vale and Riverrun too for herself.

I feel like there is going to be a conflict between Bran (who currently holds the stronger claim to Winterfell) and Jon/Sansa.

And about potential lovers for Jon, I don't really see anyone. At least not an already known character. Unless Martin introduces a new female, only Sansa/Arya/Melissandre/Daenerys make sense.

Don't forget Val, "the wildling princess" who clearly has the hots for Jon.

I don't know,. her character was never developed in any sense, we will have to wait for the book to see if that really is a possibility.

Yeah, that might very well be a possibility, though I didn't really consider it before. After reading a recap, I came across this:
'The show is — a bit weirdly — playing Sansa and Jon’s scenes as if they’re a romantic couple about to happen. (People keep doubting me on this, but seriously, compare these scenes to the way the scenes between Talisa and Robb back in season two were shot.)' The possibility of Jon x Sansa is probable, I don't see him with Arya though. Arya and Jon had more of a brother sister relationship.

I think Martin left the Arya route due to political correctness, HBO would have a real trouble trying to adapt that to the TV without having a bit of criticism. Although in the books, Sansa and Jon are still underaged.

I don't get Jon:
Imagine there's a red priestess (Or necromancer, really) at your side, you see your little brother possibly dying in front of you..
Why not pick him up and see what she can do instead of storming into a huge enemy army, alone?

And... poor Wunwun :(

I think its because there is something "wrong" about the resurrection. I don't know if you read the books but the leader of the Brotherhood Without Banners, who has been multiple times resurrected, said that the resurrection is more like a curse, because one part of you never comes back, he even speak about forgetting who he is and his memories, like turning into a zombie. Jon should know this and maybe he doesn't want his brother to experience this.

AAAH, ye, now you mention it I do remember reading that chapter :)

Though I still think just charging in, alone, was a bit dumb: His goal was to piss off Ramsay, well, Ramsay kinda beat him :/

Yes but he is too young to remain cold like his Ned Stark against tragedies like Rickon's death. Also I feel like Sansa predicted that Jon would rush against Ramsay and she used him as a bait to outmaneuver the enemy army. Pretty cold from her part, she is becoming a little Cersei.

he's a kid, in a high stress environment and going on instinct rather than logic. same thing whenever you see someone pulling a blade out of their wounds or something. we all know it's a stupid thing to do and that it will get you killed. but it's also a Truth In Television, many people in the heat of the moment will do the stupid things purely by instinct without having chance to think

It seems Jon, Sansa and Bran will be enemies next season. I don't know what side will Arya take. Jon is a Targaryen and that leaves everything for a marriage between him and Daenerys.

It's hard being European. The internet was already full of spoilers before I watched the episode. I would've burned him alive or skinned him.

Nope, a man killed by his own hounds sounds like a good enough ending for me.

What about skinning him a little bit each day, force him to feed his cut off skin/body parts to his own hounds, and after a while get bored and let the hounds eat him... After a month or so

That'd be a little over the top (from the Stark perspective), obviously that's something Ramsay would do to someone else, but I feel like the directors felt that would be a bit extreme.
Also, as I realised, we've just had our first Stark brother killed. (excluding Robb Stark, I still hate that fucking episode with all my heart :D)

indeed. there's a point where the punishment becomes too much, no matter how awful the punished is. it says far more about the people doing the punishing than it could ever say about the punished. just look at Theon, he was one of the most detestable characters in the show/books before Ramsay got his hands on him and how he's, by GoT standards, practically a hero (I think Wun Wun may have been the most innocent character so far)
had Jon and/or Sansa tortured Ramsay then they would have only been walking the path to becoming him. Sansa got her closure and her vengeance but neither she nor Jon crossed the moral event horizon to do it

Best episode of the season, it was good to see the Stank banner again oon Winterfell.
Also, why nobody remembers the 3 dragon fight? A lot of the CGI budget went there.

dragons are an awesome visual, but lack the emotional punch. the battle was all about people and so a lot more personal (and thank the network that the show got the budget to do battles like this instead of the early version of Tyrion being knocked out or Jamie captured offscreen)

Funny thing is that now battles are so expensie that other moments have to occur ofscreen aswell (Blackfish, Stannis, The Waif).

I think those were more for effect than for budgetary reasons. they deliberately built up a little suspense and tried to make us wonder if it was Arya or Waif who had survived (of course we all knew Arya would live) and since we didn't actually see Blackfish die we're left with the small possibility that he's somehow still alive (unlikely given the circumstances but there were theories that Syrio was still alive for a long time)

The whole season built up to this episode. The battle was amazingly intense. Although Jon made some real stupid decisions that were a little bit out of character, and I think the "Just in time" trope was a little bit overplayed. Nevertheless, that battle scene was amazing!
