You can thank this guy afterwards. I was going to make another two SiN giveaways if he said thank you, but he thought he was from the cool kids who can not say it, nether less that it's in the rules, that the gifted person should always say thank you, even if he is dead.

EDIT: You all are funny, here is something for you

Well i dont say thank you on giveaways comment section, since i think its spamming and no one will read it except the first 5 posts, i also didnt thank the last game i won over steamgifts since i got the key over email, but yes i would say thank you if the gifter would add me and give the code "personally". I think you are exaggerate a bit ^^

By your logic you shouldn't say thanks to your grandma for mailing you money with your birthday card? She didn't give it to you personally.

by my logic i wouldnt thank my grandmother if she would play in a heavy metal band in middlee of stage and would give away a cd by throwing it into to the public with more than 300 persons (including me) watching the concert.
Perhaps i should replace "personally" word ( i did use the dam quotes "") for the "bilateral communication" words

The example of the metal concert relates more to a developer giveaway since there are multiple copies. While winning a game from a regular giveaway with only one copy would be more like winning a prize from your local radio station by being the tenth caller.

Congratulations. You are an ungrateful bastard

The thank you part is because.... More and more people go into giveaways where they wont play the game, they are in the giveaway, because they have points, which is stupid.

I kind agree with certain parts, but i disagree with "thank you" part, i never read the giveaway comments section its pointless, everyone says the same "thank you thank you thank you" thats all simply plain spam. if someday i won a gift yours (very unpredictable to happen xD) just add me and i will kindly appreciate and even play the game with you if you want. The sameway if i giveaway some game i wont pay any attention to commets section i will just add the winner and give the prize, but i would be piss of if that person wouldnt thank me "personally" via chat since its a way more personal.

About ppl going to giveaways just because had point, i have a few solutions which are only show the games to users that hey have on wishlist or reduce the regeneration points ratio. but i doubt that will happen anyway

You know, at first I was like "good for you, but you really can't do that in a public giveaway without mod approval" Then then I checked out your profile and to see you have entered in over 2k giveaways yourself and you don't have even 50% for your own comments, you lost my support.

Do as I say not as I do. SMH

Thank you comments don't go hand in hand with playing the game later.

219 comments of 594 entries isn't bad for a public giveaway...

I agree with those people not playing the games they won and I like thanks in the comments though I see a lot of people with the same comments in every single giveaway and that's what I hate, people writing generic thx, thanks, thank you and comments like I hope the god of randomness..., much love, <3 bla bla...I always try to write comments specific to the person or game and as much as I understand you, what you are doing is still not right.

even if you might do a elaborated "thank you" i doubt people will read it except if you are one of first comments, otherwise requires scroll down a lot of "thanks spam" until reach your message.
In my modest opinion would be more interesting a button with "thumbs up" and show a ratio graphic about (entries+thumbs up)/2

I think the person did this to spite you. I read some of the comments in your giveaway. Your only condition for this giveaway wasn't approved by SG, and because of that I think it made a few people sour.

I appreciate your gift to the community. It was a nice gesture on your part. Maybe this will make you feel a little better.

Now you know why I avoid creating public giveaways. Way too many leechers.

Well I'm thankful for the games I receive as I been lucky the last few days, but there is always those who will not thank you for gifts. I love giving games ♥ To each their own, and best of luck! If I had more cash I'd keep this roll going. Love those sales! ♥ Peace!

You know the kind of people who are even worse than mindless leechers? You, the kind who expects praise and ass-kissing for his shitty worthless "the ship" giveaways and then creates petty quibbling threads such as this when receives none. You are the reason this site now has such stupid shit as "contributor value" which solely defeats the whole purpose of it.

I'm sorry that I entered your giveaway. I would be happy to thank you if you just asked nice. But you required it, or else "he wont get the game" thus violated the rules, so I could not help but ignore you. You are one in the wrong here.

I did say thank you after reading the giveaway "rules" but I usually don't. I think the countless "thanks" for every giveaway are a nice sentiment, but really is it necessary to say "thank you" on every single entry? At some point it just becomes a mindless afterthought.

I do however always say thank you after winning a game. It's just proper manners, if someone goes out of their way to gift you a game.

That said, I've got 850 entries and one win, so I haven't had a chance to do much thanking.

...and that makes one of the biggest hypocrites on steamgifts. 43% comment (including those on forum) to entry ratio) and then crying like a little baby, because someone did not thank you even if you ordered him to (which you had no right to do, rtfm).

Typical attention whore, move along, folks.

I don't get it.

If you are in a really good mood you can go full "Hay dude thx for the chance of winning blah blah game, you rock". But demanding the generic "THX-spam" as a rule to win? You can fully thank IF you win cause then you really have something to thank for.

The "THX-spam" never sounds like a sincere "thank you".

I don't get this "thanks" issue. I'm fine when people don't thank me after I gifted their games.
