There seems to be a difference between showcase and freebies sections on Indiegala. The showcase should be the step before the game is completed. Freebies is after the game is completed (and nobody buys it anymore?)

I'm not sure myself.
If I look at the FAQ it seems you can use the showcase feature anywhere in your development process.

And the free full DRM free games are also presented here - though by the user galaFreebies.

you should add DRM-Free, non steam could mean Origin, Uplay, etc, DRM-Free implies non steam
