0h past 2 weeks, game he won last time 0.1h. SO what should i do? Im not gonna give it to fake account or idiot who won't play the game, id rather give it to fella from /v/ who appreciates and begs for games and actually plays them!

not that i am defending the moron, but it's useless to do it here, you need to take it to support and open a ticket.

otherwise your gift will be marked as not received, and it will ruin your reputation.

To be fair, I just got a new job and dropped from a >9 steam rating to a .3 and I only have clocked in 16 minutes on the game I won most recently. Just because his current stats are shitty doesn't mean he won't appreciate your gift. Hopefully once I settle in I'll have time to do some gaming but I really haven't had any time recently. Obviously the dude who won your giveaway might be a d-bag or something, but just because his current stats suck doesn't mean he won't make use of your gift when he has free time. Obviously, it's possible that he isn't a real gamer, but I can't see any purpose in signing up for your giveaway if he doesn't at least want to try out the game you're gifting.

I agree. Besides, he might have other games, apart from steam, and play them (like I do myself).

I have many games that I play that are not on Steam.

I "mostly" play games outside of Steam (my current laptop hardly handles this DRM-app). I still would like to think though that eventually I'd have something more powerful that would actually allow me to play more via Steam than I do now.

indeed.. i've also had to write my bachelors thesis in the last couple of weeks and had a steam rating of 0.0. maybe that dude actually has a LIFE.. unlike you, OP.

I had same issue. You may give the game or you may not, but your feedback rating will go down. If he doesnt come online in a week you can contact support and reroll.

I don't understand why people are so hung up on on playing time/Steam rating. For instance, I'm a university student and I barely have had time to study lately with the result that currently both of those fields say 0 for me. (That said, with the little free time I have had, I've spent playing games on my Nintendo DS or otherwise not on Steam.) However, when I am less busy, my rating is often at 10. Not everyone here is an unemployed, unschooled slacker with no social life whatsoever who can afford to play games 12+ hours a day every single day of the year. Whoever won just might have had a busy week. So don't assume things about people.

Funny, I wanted to write exactly the same. Furthermore: When you are extremely busy, the win of a steamgift may really lift your spirit - no matter if you are able to play it at once.

Even if somebody is playing his Counterstrike-sessions etc instead of your gifted game that means nothing. I've bought HL2 ep1 and I want to play it without longer interruptions. That is currently not possible. It WILL be in 2 or 3 months, though.

Even if he won a game he'll not play (I can't know it), probably your behaviour here is worse. Your right talking about your concern, not calling people morons publicly.

I mean I always like a generous person who gives away games, but if you are going to pass judgement on every person who wins a game, maybe you should have checked out some of the recent winners for public giveaways before giving away your own to see what type of people are entering. I mean you were willing to check out the winner after you made the giveaway and he won, why not save everyone the hassle and do some research beforehand? Now he may not get a game he may actually play (or perhaps he may not) just because you decided he isn't fit to win it. I honestly don't know what you expected for a site that doesn't have any one singular backing community, it's made up of people who want to win games for free, not everyone is going to be a knight (and for that matter that's why I do all my giveaways privately, through groups, or through puzzles).

If you love your community so much then just make private giveaways and give them the links on their chat boards.

Mabe after 0.1 h playing the last game they realised it was crap.

I personally enter for games that I'm not sure about and will not likely buy but want to try anyway just in case.

i played battlefield 3 most of the time, its on origin and not steam. theres many other non steam games people play too..

but ya you sound worse than the guy that won, dont do a public giveaway if you have rules for who can win

You submitted a giveaway and someone won, how can you be so sure that the guy's not going to play it?
I mean, he may not have the time to play now, doesn't mean he will never play it.
Someone was last online 8 days ago and spend little time playing games, maybe he/she is busy with their real life, Is that a big enough deal to call them a moron and not give your gift?
Your giveaway ended 4 hours ago, he/she has 7 days to accept it, if that person doesn't accept it you can submit a ticket to do a re-roll, no sweat.

with a name like yours, you shouldnt go around calling people morons, either follow the rules and give the game to the winner or get banned and we wont care bout you anyway

Maybe he doesn't feel like playing this game right now? I bought few games, that I'm gonna POTENTIALLY play when I'll buy new PC, so what, am I moron too? ;) And btw (controversial opinion alert) - both HL2 episodes suck. And yes, I've bought them and played them. Original game is masterpiece, but episodes are garbage

Why the hell would you take games if you can't play ie. college, job, etc..? There is ton of ppl who have time and want to play games so just let them compete for them, don't be greedy! "Oh look at me, im awesome,i have real life, playing games on origin, so badass, but hell, lets take everything!" @Ryan983 -if you think i sound worse then him then you just havent heard yourself. If you are playing battlefield and you can afford it and it's not related to steam, why are you still entering for games here? And yes, i still think that this dude is just gigantic douche with probably bunch of fake leftover accounts from steam sale/coal farming event so he can use them here, and yes, he will not recieve that gift, and yes i will never ever giveaway here again. You may think im acting like moron but that is ok. I was just trying to do something nice and it went downhill. :/

You're not really doing anything nice if you're sitting here judging somebody that you really know nothing about. Oh noes, he has very little time played the last couple weeks. Hell, I haven't had much time clocked on my steam at all lately cause I've been playing some new Console games I got a while back, does that mean I don't deserve any games on here that I might possibly win?

Remember myself from three years ago, when I used to waste huge amount of time playing WoW. Well, if someone grew up, has a full time job, wife and little kid, then does it mean he doesn't deserve his chance to play? ;) So, looks like, if I was on his place, you would have called me a 'moron'. Strange logic, man.

So, why didn't you make it a group giveaway? If it's a public giveaway, anyone can win. If you don't gift it, you get a bad mark on your record at best. I'd also like to point out that people can play games in offline mode and Steam doesn't track it.
