I see it as a good thing, it will allow people to play on the weekend so they won't skip work and/or school to play the game. :3

It will regester on steam so it's as if you bought it on Steam. It will permanetely be part of your Steam account, if that's what you want. I like to only have my games on Steam as well, i've activated boxes from Amazon of Deus Ex: HR, and and FEAR 3 on Steam and now they are permanetly part of my account as if i had bought it on Steam. Just making sure you know that if you didn't already :D

It is for about 28 pounds at amazon.co.uk which is 44$. While at my steam store skyrim sells for 50€ which is 69$. I saved by ordering it through amazon 25$ or 20€ and as a plus I will get the hardcopy with some nice extras.. (cloth map ftw!)

Hell YA!!!!! SKYRIM!!!! Looking forward to spending another 500 hours+ in the world of elder scrolls :D. Who am i kidding, any RPG by Bethesda will do, they rock!! Their games may be gltichy as hell, but they sure are fun. I spent 100+ hours in Fallout 3, and 500+ in Oblvion. Still haven't gotten around to buying Fallout New Vegas, and i still need to give morrowind another try. I just don't like how in morrowind you can sell an item or kill a person integral to a quest, without you even knowing about the quest in the first place!!!

Surely, you mean "Morrowind" and not morrowing? Lol :)

.> Curses. I'm right in the middle of my exams just as it gets released. 6 days between Skyrim's release and me actually having time to play it (at least, to play it without the guilt of not studying).
...Not that I have the money for it anyway. :\

I have a PC more than capable of running it, but im stuck with my old monitor because it seems my current one got fried with the thunderstorm. And i dont want to play on this 1280x1024 kinda-squared resolution and a menu flashing all the time on the screen. So i've sent it to the warranty, it will take one to two weeks. And i dont want to wait two weeks to play skyrim, i won't play with this monitor because the menu flashing is beyond frustrating, i can wait two weeks (even though it won't mean they'll fix it) or i need to buy a new monitor, which it's not a good time to do it. So i guess we're both stuck. =)

Im curious, because the numbers on the card's names mean nothing at all, do you think a Nvidia 9800GTX+ would beable to run Skyrim?

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (also referenced as Skyrim) is a fantasy role-playing video game in development by Bethesda Game Studios and to be published by Bethesda Softworks. Skyrim is the fifth installment in The Elder Scrolls fantasy role-playing video game series, and is a sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The game was announced on December 11, 2010 at the Spike Video Game Awards with a release date of November 11, 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The game takes place in the Nordic land of Skyrim, on the fictional continent of Tamriel. The story is set 200 years after the events of Oblivion, and will feature dragons and revolve around the Nordic god Alduin, who comes to destroy the world.
Skyrim uses a new, internally developed engine, rather than the Gamebryo engine used for the previous two installments in the series.
The February 2011 edition of Game Informer magazine revealed the first details about the content of Skyrim. Their website revealed that the game would introduce a new in-world language, the tongue of the dragons, which would be important in Skyrim's story and gameplay.
