Great event, was waiting for this. The site works on my end. I have a uestion regarding "Link must be direct to image (with extension - .jpg, .jpeg, .png, etc.). If you submit an indirect link, it will be valid (if contains image) but will give you less points."
How would one submit a direct link picture, do you have examples. Normally I would use imgur, but that is an indirect link I think? I might be stupid.

Nvm, I read the faq on your site, imgur is fine. Nice site tho. Should you get a message when you submit your link + time or should it close for you or something?

Just to be sure: https://i.ibb.co/qJntZDJ/dec-1-easy.png is a valid link to submit, right?

Wow, I was excited when I first saw this thread, but I just looked at the first set of puzzles and this is going to be a daunting task. I'm not sure if I will be able to make it through them all, but I will try.
I am a bit confused as to why we need to go through the extra step of taking a screenshot and uploading it somewhere since we are signed into Jigidi. If Jigidi keeps a record of our time, does the screenshot really serve a purpose?

Oh, I always assumed the creator of the puzzle could see the complete list of times for everyone.

Thanks for an amazing event.
This looks really fun but I can't participate, sadly I won't have much time for jigidi now.
Besides, I just finished a pretty decent jigsaw won recently, should be more than enough for a while xD
Happy holiday everyone!

I've submitted my time and the screenshot as requested but the site didn't indicate to me whether my submission is successful or not; and if not, what's the issue with my submission. Would be nice to have some feedback from the site when submitting entries.
Will there also be a page on the site where I can see how many points (in total) that I have?
Thanks for organizing the event! Not sure if I'd have the time to complete all the jigsaw puzzles, but I'll definitely stop by when I feel the need to solve some :)

+1, having some sort of message like "Submission sent successfully" or something along those lines would be nice. I hit submit a few times before I realized that it probably went through.
For the second question, I think ozo mentioned that in the main post, that a page like that will go up in a few days.

We just wanted to have a way to know if our submissions went through, i.e. is saved. Like Xmisiu, I clicked on the Submit button way too many times before I realized that maybe my submission has already been saved.
I understand that we can overwrite our submissions throughout the day as long as the time permits.

I was confused as well because it just reloaded the page with all the fields still filled out and nothing changed. I wasn't sure if it was submitted or not. I looked over the page a few times to see if I missed something or if it said somewhere that my submission was received, but couldn't find anything.
Almost all websites give you some kind of confirmation after submitting info that lets you know it was submitted. If the pages stays the same and nothing changes, it usually means nothing happened and the site isn't working.
I just came here to ask if there is supposed to be some kind of verification of the info being submitted and I saw this comment.
Edit: I just noticed that if I leave the page and open it again, the fields are still filled out with the info I entered. I guess that can work as confirmation that the info was submitted.

If „To earn an entry to better Christmas giveaways, you must solve all puzzles in this event. ”, then what is the purpose of points? Will there be some kind of leaderboard to see who did the best at the end?
Comment has been collapsed.
there will be different kinds of giveaways. Christmas giveaways will be for users who solve everything, yes, but points will determine what giveaways can be entered and so on. I will add explanation once i introduce all calculations on my side
Comment has been collapsed.
i'll rephrase. there will not be any "daily giveaways" per say. there are daily puzzles and every puzzle have it's own giveaway. once submissions are checked, these giveaways will appear in puzzle pages if submission is valid (and have positive amount of points (per puzzle and and overall))

thatnks for the event :)
just did the first 2 puzzles, but i never expected 180 pieces to be "easy" and 299 pieces to be called "Medium".
makes me afraid to find out what your hard and extreme puzzles are going to be like... hope youre limiting those to weekends and are not doing them on the 24th-26th XD

Thanks for all the hard work on the engineering side!

I'd love to participate but with my wrist being messed up I doubt I'll be able to do many of these :D
Props for the event though, it seems a lot of effort went into planing this :)

All puzzles will be open exactly 24 hours. To earn an entry to better Christmas giveaways, you must solve all puzzles in this event. There will be at least 2 puzzles each day.
and
Easy: 180 pieces, Medium: 299 pieces. There is Hard and Extreme...
Ozo, you power trippin? Doesn't sound like fun to me....
Appreciating your effort, but that's not for me. Whoever tackles this, well ... live long and prosper :)

It took me 37 minutes to complete your "easy" puzzle. 299 piece puzzles ("medium") I average in 1-2 hours. Seen your own solving time for a hard puzzle: 3 hours. Guessing Extreme difficulty will take even longer. And you will have at least two of those each day. The motives you have chosen so far were far from accessible either. All of this for the next 24 days everyday. And then it's not even onnly solving the Jigidi, but taking screenshots and following your orders to the dot not to lose any points in the process.
You know, between no effort and what you are asking here is quite the range ;)
But as I said, there might be some people with no life around who will do all of this for a chance to win some games. I'm not one of them. And I find it a pity you are making it so unaccessible, because the base idea sounds like great fun to me.

what of it is so "unaccessible"? do you seriously think that you taking a simple screenshot that you can do with something like gyazo in seconds is that much harder than me checking hundreds of submissions that each are different? one with link, one without, or without time for me to check etc.?

i might do some of the daily puzzles if i want that particular game, but...
Christmas Giveaways! To be eligible for end-Event Christmas giveaways, you must solve every daily puzzle in every difficulty and have positive point count.
Top-Solver Giveaways! To be eligible for Top-Solver giveaways, you must solve at least one daily puzzle in any difficulty each day. All users with positive point count at the end of event will be eligible for at least one giveaway (unless you own the games).
i don't wanna spend 3-5 hours every day for the entire month of december solving jigidis. and that's coming from someone who enjoys solving jigidis. that's what she means by 'unaccessible'. cough inaccessible cough
though it doesn't even matter because i already missed day one's puzzles so i'm automatically excluded from that part of the event.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i mean, thanks for taking the time and effort to create a month-long christmas event though. it's more than i've done.

haha, my fault, i fixed it. i always just default to he/him, especially on sg since gamers are mostly male. i really should start using non-binary they/them unless i know better. 🙂

I mostly feel the same about how time consuming and unrealistically difficult this is. If you don't have time or forget to complete a single one for the entire month, you miss out on the Christmas giveaways.
I am one of those people with no life though and I am usually in the top 10 fastest solvers, so I am going to try, but I'm not sure if I will be able to do it. Honestly, I will be surprised if more than 5 or 10 people manage to do every one and enter the Christmas giveaways. The maximum number of people that have a chance is already down to 88 after the first day.

Hi. This has been a strange year. I have created a lot of giveaways but why not create even more? Some of you may have already seen or participated in pre-Event Event to get some taste of what is coming. I have already attempted similar event but that was years ago.
Similarly as in past event, you can earn points by doing puzzles. All of puzzles will be jigidis.
All puzzles will be open exactly 24 hours. To earn an entry to better Christmas giveaways, you must solve all puzzles in this event. There will be at least 2 puzzles each day.
All point values will be available in point section once that section is live (in next few days). I will try to finish Help section by the start of the event.
I have made a simple website for this event. Everything related to event will be posted there. Website has a steam login and to participate, you must have steamgifts account (obviously). If you have a different username in jigidi, there will be a possibility to set that username on website.
All giveaways in this event will end on December 28th 12:00 AM UTC+2. Website itself also operates in UTC+2 timezone and giveaways open/close on midnight. Once your submission is checked, submission form will be replaced with a link to giveaway unless you already own the game.
To your submission be counted as valid, you must follow some rules/guidelines. These rules will also be written Help section in bit more detail. pre-Event event is a good taste of what you will need to do.
RULES / GUIDELINES of submissions:
Within each 24 hours you will be able to edit your submission as much as you want. Pages with top solvers by day and overall will be created later on.
All giveaways are for level 1.
If you are on my blacklist, sorry. It's highly unlikely that I will remove anyone from my blacklist but you can try to plea in comments.
If by any chance you find a bug, you can submit a bug report on website. Just make sure that something like that hasn't been already submitted.

As always, remember I have this long train running now for more than 7 months now. In there you can also find bunch of songs I have created and I would appriciate some support with views, likes and subscribes to my channel.
And please remember to bump this thread
