Hi to everyone.
I bought like 10 months ago a Sapphire RX470 OC 8gb, never used because my mobo and pc can't uses that(thinking about buy a pc but had to use moneys in other stuff). So is new, just opened the box. I just saw that the piece is out of production and there is the new rx570 and I was wondering about the price should I sell that. Can anyone help me? :) thank you and sorry for my english, hope I've been clear enough xD

Unrelated, but why did you buy an expensive piece of computer component if you couldn't use it?

i dunno in your contry but here the price of amd hardware increased because of bitcoin mining.
anyway, try to sell it at least for what you have paid, so you don't lose money.

You can sell it, probably, by a lot more than you can expect because of ethereum miners. Check ebay, check component forums, etc.

You wont't find any AMD cards at the moment becvause of those miners, only extremely overpriced 1060s and 1070s or maybe a 1050ti, but probably the 470 8gb will be better than that one.

You can sell it pretty overpriced, that GPU is probably the best one to mine ethereum (best performance per watt). And being the 8 GB model you can get more than $300 for it to buy a GTX 1060 or an RX 580.

As people already said you can probably sell it a bit more that it would usually go for, solely due to the Cryptocurrency mining that is going on. However, I expect it to stop in the near future, so I'd sell it now that the demand is extremely high. Once the interest for mining drops, the supply of these used cards will increase, which by it's turn will cause the price to drop.

I don't know about your country and it highly depends on the demand (as it doesn't matter what you are selling something for, if there is no one to buy it). I'd say, that you can probably sell it for the price you bought it give or take.

I found this link to check the memory type of my GPU(seems important for mining)
http://www.buriedone.com/gpudatabase.html
And my serial doesn't show... I have B0119 on mine but can't find that serial to get which kind of memory I have, tried to search in other sites too.

I have no idea to be honest with you, so you'll have to ask someone else.

I hope you'll manage to sell it back for a good price, good luck!

If it is really untouched, then you can sell it for at least €200. If you find a desperate enough miner, then up to €300.
