G4TV GOTY Finals: Borderlands 2 vs Dishonored

I pick Dishonored. New franchise with huge potential.

Borderlands 2 is merely a re-invention of the original. The replay value reminds me why I originally quit playing the original.

Dishonored is original and unique, it is not just another Bethesda or Unreal engine game, it is as good as and stands out as much as other unique hits like the BioShock series.

Borderlands 2 all the way.

AC3 made it into semifinals?? What???

I picked Borderlands 2 over Dishonored for one reason.

Dishonored doesn't NEED to be a franchise. I see it in the same way as BioShock.

It doesn't matter how good the sequels are, the original was good enough to stand on its own.

I'm not saying that future Dishonored titles won't be good, I am just saying we don't need to turn everything into a franchise.

EDIT: Borderlands could have been by itself, but buggered if the ending wasn't disappointing.

Just seeing Guild Wars 2 and AC3 makes me cry... Guild Wars 2 was a really huge disappointment, even more than D3 and AC3.. well its a boring series which gets more and more well boring?

I don't have Dishonored, but I have Borderlands 2. I'll take it in good faith that they're both real good games (only heard of the former, been enjoying the latter so far)

I have both and id probably have to go with dishonored. Borderlands2 is a great game, but it's basically the same as the original

Dishonored is what DeusEx:HR SHOULD have been, but set in a steampunk settings. As far as I'm concered that is GOTY material

Wow Dishonored did not stand a chance against Borderlands 2. I still think Dishonored should win a GOTY award at least once so that most of us can be happy of such a wonderful game.

Definitely voting Dishonored. Not only did I have more fun with it, but it's a breath of fresh air from all of these shooters that keep coming out.

Sad to see a rehashed game win for so much. Specially against an actual good game.

This round needs more Walking Dead.

As much as I like Borderlands 2, I like Dishonored more. The originality in the Dishonored universe is incredible. In my opinion, originality is the most important aspect of a video game.

If I had two votes the second would go to Dishonored as well.

I actually didn't like dishonored that much, but it deserves a GOTY award more than Borderlands 2 does, it's just a remake of the first with new characters.
