It's a wrong description, the steam key activates the Retail version which is compatible both on Windows and Mac.

Key activates as "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Retail" and its install size is 8.36 GBs.
It runs fine on Windows 10 as far as I can tell.

Thanks for the heads up! The game indeed activates as "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Retail". It took a few minutes before the order showed up with the key on the site but everything works fine.
