After watching the excellent Ultraman: Rising, I'm on an Ultraman revival.

Watched Shin Ultraman (was pretty good), then I've found this amazing channel that have every past series with english subtitles (planning on finishing at least the original 1966 show).

Wanted to play some games, so I installed PCSX2 and launched Ultraman Fighting Evolution 3 and was pleasantly surprised. It's a fighting game very faithful to the source material, mostly in the animations and fighting styles of people in rubber suits.

But in PC we are seriously lacking. We have mech games, but mostly in the tactical genre, or simulation as the mechwarrior series, or grim and gritty, serious series.

Don't get me wrong, I like those games. But now I'm looking some "punch a Kaiju in the face", or or "kick a robot in the butt" kind of game. But besides the Override Mech City Brawl games (a let down, because they kill the game when they released the sequel), the UFO ROBOT GRENDIZER game (that looks awesome), or the very old (but still very good) One Must Fall 2097, I feel this genre is seriously underrepresented on PC.

I would love a Mazinger z game in this style, or some Macross/Robotech stuff.

Another to play on the pcsx2 is War of the Monsters.

Edit: While this other doesn't really fit, might still get somewhat of a pass as you do fight big spaceships (in a way could be considered giant robots): Megaton Rainfall

I forgot about that one! I think it fits, yeah. Didn't hear of War of the Monsters, I will look it up.

All I can think of is Capcom's Armored Warriors, the beat em up and the VS one (Cyberbots: Full metal madness). But you probably know these 2 already.
