If I remember correctly Sket is an avid trader so I'm pretty sure he didn't buy all that stuff just because he wants HackyZack soo bad (that would be silly) but rather because there's probably something on sale that might turn a profit in the long run.

I don't think that would have been a smart move. People are sceptical about the impact of the IGN takeover anyway. If they completely stopped distributing freebies the old fashioned way and instead used them as additional bait for this promotion it would have just created more bad blood.

hmmm, but how would you know they stopped completely? - they could have just lessened the amount and used the recent ones in the offer - we are not privy to what they are going to give away, so not sure how you, or I for that matter, would know that they used them in this way - so no bad blood as you state :) - unless a bug happened of course and released the info to the world al a recent monthly screw up @:-P

I have bookmarked that link since yesterday and tried the link, going via the 'missions' link in the drop down menue and going direcly to the store page... but no such luck for me.
