random garbage ranting I edited out... cooled off since then.

My question is:

What countries are more accepting of people in danger in their own countries? Are there rescue places that are charitable? How long do you need to remain there, and is it possible to exist with the basics if you are disabled and have a hard time working at all? Any thoughts? Other ideas to think about if I decide to renounce my citizenship here?

Please keep discussion related to my questions. Or something directly related to the title subject. Thank you!

Depends on your skills. Also, if youre only speaking english... good luck, you are much more limited than you think. And please dont blame me for sounding like a prick, i dont make the rules. Most parts of the EU, if not all, require you to know the mother tongue to become a citizen. (minimum) And if you aim to become a refugee instead of citizen, well, of course the other countries that dont know about your issues, whatever these might be, will deny someone from the "worlds greatest power".
To outsiders your country seems superior, so most people dont listen to what they think are first-world- complains.
Anyway, I dont want to stop you or argue against your opinions, i absolutely respect them. I just felt like sharing my opinion on things. And please, try to not care too much, it could help with having a better/happier life. And good luck on your journes, sure hope you can find a way out somewhere!

In any case I personally wouldn't want to live there because the snow in Switzerland is not so white as one would think. Their banks have still large amounts of money, precious stones and metals and such from Jews murdered by the nazis, from the mafia (Americans, Russians, Italians,...), from dictators from all over the world and these kind of things.

Also both the Swiss government and Swiss individuals collaborated with the nazis and facilitated the escape of nazis at the end of the war and after the war.

I'm well aware. On the other hand, (part of) my family sat out the war in switzerland
the queen of the Netherlands guaranteed the Swiss government she would pay for any Dutch citizen who made it there

The Jewish population of Switzerland increased approximately 150% during the second world war, and they housed over 100,000 refugees.
Very little of the second world war was black/white. Good people had dirty hands and plenty of evil people also did good deeds. It was a very messy time

Poland was burned down by both Germany and Russia.

Still, there were people that helped Jews to escape concentration camps while putting on the line their own life. And people that wanted to suffer less from oppression and helped hunt Jews for Germans, or "enemies of the nation" for Russians. Nothing is white and black, you can't accuse whole nation of doing something.

Sweden was neutral country, selling Germany iron ore to make their weapons and allow them to continue war. They also gave free passage to German soldiers, so they could go to attack Russia. Does it mean all Swedes helped Nazists killing people all over Europe and are evil to the infinity? Of course not.

I'm having the same issue. Been denied 3 times now, and I didn't have the strength to make it to the trial. Unfortunately, I can't find any countries that willingly accept disabled folks. I know for a fact that Canada is harsh on this, as they targeted a vacationing family and had them removed from the country because their kid was in a wheelchair. How's that for human compassion?
Anyway, I wish you the best of luck, there are a lot of people in this crappy boat with us. I wish there was an easy way to beg for refuge because we're clearly suffering and dying in this judgmental country. I feel like this is a form of eugenics.
All the best.

I totally understand your scenario. My dad had a stroke last year March and hasn't been able to work ever since and no one expects him to ever again. The income fell to me and my mom and they gave SSI and disability for a few months and are stopping it for no reason even though as is, it's not enough.

Here in Argentina we have free health care, is slow as a snail sometimes but it won't let you die (normally, bureaucracy can actually kill sometimes). Also private health care is way cheaper than the US... but I heard that's the case in most of the world tho.
About immigration, I understand it's relatively easy, my country is not that picky about who we let in. I know some people from neighboring countries do come here just to get free attention at the hospitals (this is one of the reasons why we are saturated sometimes and things slow to a crawl).
Now the bad things: you'll need to speak spanish, english knowledge around here is pretty basic even for when dealing with tourists so you're screwed if you try to speak with a public worker in english. Also if you're black prepare yourself to get the "we're not gonna aknowedge your existence" kind of racism, so you better be white-ish. There's probably more issues I don't know about but those two are pretty obvious.
Oh, and our economy crashes every decade or two, so you'll need to get used to it and not panic.

to be honest, cant really tell where you should go, but i can tell where you should not. in italy there are already enough foreigner leeching on the welfare state, claiming the same rights of those who worked and paid taxes in here for their entire lives. your presence would damage me, the people i care the most, and overall my folk and country. so if you really want to emigrate go everywhere you want but not here. frankly you are not welcome.

... leeching on the welfare, claiming the same rights of those who worked and paid taxes in here for their entire lives.

I work harder being sick than I ever did healthy. I never get breaks, weekends, or any of that. How many hours are you enslaved to? I work about 168 hours a week, and after around 25 years of that, I'm at over 50,000 hours so far. My retirement will be death - I work until a cure is found otherwise. Be thankful for what you have. Even if I had all the riches of your entire country, you still have far more than I do by being healthier... and being able to stop working and relax.

I already know what the problem is in countries like yours and my own. The rich damage you far worse socially, spiritually, economically, and mentally than any amount of poor could. People wouldn't think like this otherwise.... Simply by stealing interest and doing nothing for it but having extra money already, early "rich" entitled themselves to this privilege in most places - takes money to steal money from others. People who are poor are better for economies because we have to spend more money. Our lives depend on it... it's not for fun like richer people saving money away (which stagnates economies). We do the opposite since money we gain goes right back out. It makes perfect sense if one understands the idea of how money flows and how those changes impact the economy. More money around, more chances for me to grab some of it. A true leech must be removing a lot more than is added... so the true loss here would be money leaving and not returning back into the economy, and with that I present: "money hoarders", a.k.a. rich people are living on the interest gravy boat. Yeah... they are keeping it. Tightly away from the rest of you, while you do all their work for you and they pay you less than a tenth of what you deserve while gaining and hoarding up all they can to become even richer at your expense. They're your true problem. I'm not even there and you have problems.... so they're the ones who should either fix it, or cough up some of that hidden stash... So it goes in, but doesn't come back out with most rich. The opposite happens with poor people, but I guess the fact for one isn't the fact for another, even when presented in a simplistic format like this. The world would be a better place if people did listen to this kind of "logic"... instead of ignoring the elephants in the room and picking on all the little stuff.

If you care or can (if governmental/press "pacification" has worked on you, you will not care), maybe find out who is really at fault if your country is having so many problems that the threat of a single person could damage the economic clime, or at least create such a tone that makes it sound as though you are in fear of poor overrunning your own country. Your own press is probably feeding those lies to you - it's standard propaganda I mentioned already to desensitize one from the truth. Someone is skimming off your economic petri dish and taking it all off the top, and it's not some poor person with that kind of access. Common sense and I guarantee it.

your presence would damage me

Not as much as the rich people in your own country that gladly take every single offering from you, making it harder on you to live so they can make a killing off of your own servitude, while returning little to nothing back.... that's your real damage. They make you believe it is different than the truth would reveal otherwise - old "sleight of hand" trick. Then they mock and laugh at you all behind your backs (and honestly I do too, since it's pretty pathetic to think this way). I'll never understand the Stockholm Syndrome people have with their abusers in their dysfunctional systems the abusers set up for them.

The blind will continue to be blind as long as they are led by other blind, and both will end up in a hole. I never said I wanted to go anywhere. It's being more or less forced. My wish is to have basic care so I can be somewhat at peace in my suffering. Not a huge ask I don't think. For instance, here in the US, there are more empty homes for sale than homeless (because greedy property vultures steal them all and fix them up and charge twice as much for them). My country treats people like shit if they are not good slaves, making us have little choice but die here or go elsewhere. You will not understand until you face a similar fate. Sounds like it's already heading that way from the undertones of greed and hostility and fear just having a sick person could invoke. I am sorry you feel that way. Lack of compassion and empathy changes people over time... Makes one come off as a heartless bastard, but if that's what you're after, you are well on the way! Just like the rest of "them".

As for those rich monsters being protected by yourself and others getting away with all that murder, making everything hard on the rest of you... tax them higher and you will have plenty of money to go around. All the money you could imagine! You really only have yourselves to blame if everyone is that naive about economics there. So much is being withheld from you, but it's not outsiders taking it. It's your own people. Otherwise it would not be bad enough to even elude to a poor sick person having any problems with a delicate economy. It'd be strong - not delicate. There would be faith and not fear related to the state of things economically. They have probably made up a ton of corrupt rules and false philosophies to push to everyone to keep themselves from being touched though... Sounds like it may be too late there too I guess. Unfortunate so many countries have this fail system, while believing the lies in all its promises. Someone is always getting richer off of your work. Somebody is always

keep beating the fists on the table, call the press. you could also try those private institutes that deal with charity and helping the needy, or some local church

Did not re-read my above part, but I think I already went over this before.... solutions mentioned have all been thoroughly tried in several states of residence, and I have gotten no help. They are there to make tax-free money, not help most people.

I shouldn't even answer this, since it is contributing almost nothing to the questions I had, but I hope the time is appreciated. Have a nice day!

been there done that... sure your situation is dramatic but you are not the only one that got through some shit. ive worked my ass since i was young to help my family after my father got sick, doing even the most degrading and underpaid jobs around to allow my family to survive. after all the sweat i have shed i have started a little business on my own. yeah you can bet, i hame very grateful for what i have, or to better put it, for what i have earned with my effort; something i would never have achieved if i spat in the dish from where i ate. sure thing, keep on calling me a slave and a pawn of capitalism if it makes you feel better and helps you to compensate what you lack of, of which nor me nor my disabled father nor every other italian honest worker is remotely responsible, we still owe you absolutely nothing, and with no ill will intended. its just the truth.

I already know what the problem is in countries like yours and my own

i sincerely doubt that, or you wont by talking the way you are doing. there isnt the need of a political science major to place the dialectic you are using in the political area to which it belongs.

evil rich
accumulation of wealth
poors are like cattle

i can say i got though all those three phases... at first i had to put dignity and individual aims aside and reduce myself to "cattle" (3), in order to get "rich" (???; 1), and to put aside that sum and making it grow bit by bit (2), in order to invest and hoping to go back to point 1 with a bigger sum than before, and maybe to repeat the process for the sake of myself and my family. it would be interesting to know when in your opinion someone can be defined "rich" and where you would draw the line that divides the "rich" and the "non rich", and how would you discern someone who has become and evil rich by exploiting other people from someone who managed to build something in an honest way but the possible answer kind of worries me, so to be honest it is better to not know! to be even more honest, im fine with having less people like you around, and im not talking about you being a disabled but this "logic" of yours, shareable in a different context, but not quite so in this one.

speculation and exploitation of workers is bad

sure thing, but if thats bad dont tell me that living on the effort of other not related to you in any way is any better, specially if we are talking about a foreigner to be inserted in an international context, both the case sound bad. although i dont have a positive opinion of taxes, its clearly rewarding to know that im helping some fellow italians in real need (and there should be alot to talk about this as fake disability to steal statal aids is a popular thing in here, but lets skip that). it should come along that "common sense" you recalled that the sustainability of such economical system gets meager and meager along with the number of the people in need, a factor that will of course affect the quality of the servives provided by the state, which would be exacly what we are experiencing... the public healthcare system getting slower and slower every year, the police with outdated equipment and without enough resources to be fully operative, pensions that dont make up for a dignified life, and so on.

I never said I wanted to go anywhere. It's being more or less forced. My wish is to have basic care so I can be somewhat at peace in my suffering. Not a huge ask I don't think.

and here it comes the crux of the matter. if we grant those right to a superfabs, then we would be in the moral position to grant them to another superfabs, and then to other 10 superfabs, 100, 1000, 10000, 10 gorillions superfabs. even putting moral aside it just can not work, its a matter of numbers. and as if it were not already enough, the basis of the problem is that we already have more superfabs than we can afford. socialism is already flawed by itself, if you bestow international connotation to it it becomes a joke... a bad one.

to be clear, i am not saying that you dont need help. your situation is clearly dramatic, and its without a doubt ridiculous that burgerland dont help a taxpaying citizen, as much as its ridiculous being willing to become someone else's burden... someone who does not owe you anything. is not even a purely numerical problem, even if it were just you it would far from bein morally acceptable: first of all towards me, towards my disabled father who started working when he was 14 years old and now cant anymore, toward the entire folk; second, because it would set a precedent according to which it is right to grant superfabs rights which are not due to him in this country, giving the beginning to a process that will weaken our economic power. a single drop you would be, sure; but thats what oceans are made of... hope its clear.

Lack of compassion and empathy

sure, of course for the like of you its not enough to impose people when, how and for what they should spend the money they earn; nope, you even want to decide for them for whom they need to feel empathy.

nice to see that you took this turn and put away the mask. if to put the interest of my folk before any ideological suprastructure whatsoever makes me an heartless bastard then i declare myself proudly guilty. if this makes me a bastard then think about what are you for being willing to put your individual interest before anything and anyone and leech shamelessly on the skin of people you dont even know. you can take the insult back to you and go call your mother a bitch instead for being so drenched of slave morality, even worst than all your disability put together.

best of luck for your life and fuck you.

yeah absolutely. tbh though i see the whole thing of communism vs capitalism as a false dichotomy at this point... they are both founded on materialism with no higher value than that and with die hard industrialism and productivistic rationalism (theodor kazynski manifesto is a must read of this matter) as corner stones, and both are willing to sacrifice anything on their altars for the sake of income. some of the criticisms made by karl levi marx to the capitalist system are shareable, as the continued harassment of the worker and the progressive loss of wages and labor rights, economic monopolies, globalization of the market and finance, and such; the solutions he poses to solve this problems are very similar to what globalists, ceo of transnational companies and boomer conservatives are shilling for these days... a single frontierless planetary state with one world government on top of it, a giant melting pot of cultures and races all put together and sqeezed like animals to produce for the farm. literally two fingers of the same hand.

Hm, sounds awful familiar.... Where have I heard this before? It never happened to see if it works, but there are some great ideas in many styles of economics... if we could emply certain ones together that are beneficial... and gut out some corruptive ones, like you do with a tumor if it's deadly, which this one is by the way. Why do we choose to have cancer and enjoy it? I'm not going to pretend something that isn't there is good for me or my country. It's psycho-babble...

Settle for your mediocrity. You're already broken into that behavior/thought pattern through brainwashing of culture and press in your area. I have nothing more to say. We will have to disagree and be okay with that. I am okay with that already. Thanks for adding all this that doesn't really pertain with my main questions. as i am not going to pretend that having you here would be good for us. the medicine you are offering is worst than the disease it is supposed to cure, do you understand that? here the public sector is slowly dying under the weight of its unsustainable costs and the private sector is taking over bit by bit. you will flee like many before you did, to find yourself in a country that is in the same condition of the one you have left. all because you were eager to hide behind your condition to act like a selfish fool with no regard for others. perhaps we should redefine who else fit under the category of "heartless bastards with no compassion".

you insulted my parents, go fuck yourself. to be in your condition is without a doubt unfortunate and noone would ever deny it, but to think that it justifies you to use it as mean of defence and of attack based on the circumstances is as low as it sounds. shame on you.

I'd rather be one of those dead, than be tortured every single day of my life. They got off lucky, in all honesty.

I understand where you are coming from though. There would never be a perfect system, but there can be improvements in either of those extremes. I vote capitalism for luxuries! Instead they target the weak and victimized, since rich on top make these rules to keep more money "in house" so to speak. There is equal corruption in any system - the system isn't to blame. Rather, how it is used after enough twisted people taint what the original viewpoint was to change the form in the first place. All governmental systems follow a similar cycle, and it's been that way since the first documented anything found anywhere... So yeah, I have to agree.

I hardly even eat with my stomach probs, but I force myself to for the nutrients. That looks like a nice tasty sandwich though! I have a half a turkey submarine sandwich I saved from yesterday's calzone meal. I couldn't save the calzone. Too good!

why you answered, fabs...

Why did I? Good point - good question! I think you have the right idea. I should focus on some peace, since I'm already stressed, so any negative response might get me rattled. I'll give it some time before I respond to anything I might think seems "rude". Probably a good idea to let it go most of the time rather than let it eat at me when I'm already having a little bit of a rough time.

Thanks for the higher perspective on things. There is always some good alternative out there... somewhere! :D

My next appeal may go in my favor, then it was silly to bring it all up, but I thought it might be interesting to gather some information, plus people might find the topic stretches their brains in different direction than usual, so that can be fun too. Thanks for your tip and stay awesome!

Damn, man, I feel your pain! Sorry you have to go through this.
I don't have much knowledge but here's what I know about France.

The French health system is indeed quite generous.
I know a guy with a personality disorder (so not a really disabling neither life-endangering illness). Although he has never worked, he gets enough money from the system to live more than decently (and feel bad about how much he earns for pretty much doing nothing).
The language barrier is real, especially since French is a very difficult language to learn. I've heard that even if you American people have some French lessons in school, most of you can't really speak it. Well French people are the same with English, at least a big part of them, because the language teaching is terrible here. So you'd have to learn French for real and I'd wish you good luck with that...
Regarding immigration, France has a lot to deal with especially with the war refugees. However the country tries very hard to be attractive to US citizens especially since Macron is the president. I'm not sure being a US citizen would be enough to be granted the right to live here though, since you have no job waiting for you and are sick. But maybe if you explain how the US health system puts you in danger, it would help. I dont' know. Getting the nationality isn't easy either, especially since you're not from the EU. From what I know you have to be living in the country for 10 years and there's like a quiz about French culture and history...
Anyway a lot of non-French people come here even without the nationality, so I guess they find some advantages in this country.
All of that for saying, I'm not sure France would be the best pick, but some European countries may be a good choice. Scandinavians, especially, are very good at English and their countries have the reputation to be good places to live. I don't know much about their immigration policies and health system though.

I hope it slightly helped. Good luck for everything.

Yeah... that's one of the worst parts of disability. The taking part. I don't feel entitled to it, but aI feel bad if I do nothing at all, since I want to contribute, but I also feel bad if I take money, since it's not mine that I earned by a trade or whatever. So yeah, I can identify with that. I have had to take my entire life - and it's very shameful still for me to have to always rely on others for everything because I have been cut off so much from society here and living normally... just with things to help me be a little more comfortable as I suffer. Suffering I did not choose to have, yet suffering I have to endure with almost no assistance. That part is frustrating.

If I were just a little disabled it'd be different. Hopefully I can get myself out of this shit, and by some miracle just get well enough to work some... I think they try to make us either work, or die (usually it is suicide with illness + poverty) with no remorse about it. It makes me happy in a way - they could have been me, so if they want to be evil... they are just harming themselves. I may have saved them from a world of hurt every day... I could have been the one that took their place. It's weird how all of that stuff works, but it's reflected in much literature, especially religious I guess... those at the bottom are always condemned. Broken attitudes from broken countries. Reminds me of a few holy books though.. The nature of man has not changed since they were written thousands of years ago. That doesn't mean I'm going to give up on them, or give those cheaters a free pass either. If enough of us can stir this up, maybe there can be change one day for some of the world. At least some... That is my dream I guess now, since I gave up on my own really big healthy ones involving all those "good things" in life, and working for them over time.... I gave up many years ago...

Thanks for your honest interpretation of how you're seeing it based on your personal experiences. This is exactly the kind of information I am curious about. Just the general social climates, maybe some basic idea of the time it takes, if there are other factors involved. You mentioned a few good things to think about if I do need to make a decision to leave this country, if it is even possible in the current state of things.

I can easily understand that you don't like to just take without being able to give back. But there's a key word here : "able". If you're not able to give back, it's okay. Part of being civilised is helping those who need it. I don't understand reactions like this Italian guy above's... I mean, I'm proud that disabled people in my country can get help, and would be even more glad if more people were able to get help thanks to (partially) me. It's not like you chose this situation anyway! People should be supportive to people like you, especially when they haven't been through half the shut you endure everyday.
I think as a society it's important to treat good those who cannot work - work is not the only way to provide for society. You can, for instance, have a good intellectual impact one way or another. Damn, people are people and because they have disabilities or illnesses don't mean they should be left behind... We're not animals. (well we technically are, but we like to call ourselves evolved. It's about time we show it).

I'm glad I could give you some useful info then! Good luck in finding a nice place to live - with comprehensive people, but those seem to be scarce...

Destructive ideology aside, I can see why you keep getting denied. You say you can't work....while working overtime. That's just one of the many indications that you clearly did not seek legal council before starting all of this.

You should also specify exactly what you need. What's your illness? Overhead and income? Standard of living that you won't go under due to pride? These kinds of things tend to matter.

I already went through this in court, so I don't know what you want. Are you offering me money? If not, it's none of your business, but I am nice and don't care... so I'll throw extra out there if I missed it before. I'm not really re-reading right now since I am busyish trying to prepare for the next stressor, as this one is bothering me more --- we should be destressing sick people, instead of adding even more with everything that keeps getting "dumped" as insult onto what is already injury.

Do you know what the flu feels like? Next time you feel sick stop laying around! Why are you doing that? Simple... body is working H-A-R-D with no end... so you feel like shit, now does it make sense? That's what America is trying to do to me. Make me work with the flu from the immune system overload from the lyme, mycoplasma, eppstein-barr, possible other suspected opportunistic coinfections (no testing that insurance covers to check much of this), aching joints from osteoarthritis, pancreatic insufficiency (like a worse form of diabetes that starves me of many nutrients as I take them in), IBS, autism, general anxiety, depression as a result of my abuse, and PTSD from the situation of never really knowing when I'll have even more taken away, seizure disorder (absence seizures), pressure urticaria, ichthyosis, chronic systemic mycoplasma, degenerative joint disease, cervical spondylosis, smaller ENT issues, myofascial pain syndrome, osteoporosis (before age 30 as a male!!), kyphosis, essential tremor, two fairly painless hernias, bipolar disorder - possibly linked to my autism, raynaud's syndrome, extreme chronic fatigue. Last one is my worst symptom - and the thing that would allow me to work, albeit in fairly extreme agony and discomfort. That's most of the list of my conditions/illnesses.

These are almost all 100% legitimately documented by at least one specialist practicing medicine in the United States of America, but the "government" says their word is not worth jack shit, because I am obviously a scammer wanting $500 a month.... so much so that I faked every single lab test I have to make it appear I am sick with all this stuff. That's what America is trying to make me believe anyway... It's totally psycho, but again, America is dysfunctional today. Too many bad apples were voted in by other bad apples to keep the bottom down - since we'd do jobs better than "they" can if we did get healthy. We know what it is like to go without.. so we have passion and hunger where they are complacent and just imagine rather than face reality of no food, water, shelter, etc.

Battling a constant infection or two will cause a constant job imposed on your body. Throw all this together, and it's rather difficult. I promise it is more work per day than I ever did working overtime all week at a very heavy labor job before being sick. Hard to explain until you feel the flu or something else that knocks you on your ass, but then are forced to work on it for years straight without it going away, then adding the other stuff that goes with my flu in the mix. Most people couldn't even maintain working with a bad flu for a week before they would start to crack a bit. While you guys are busy recovering in a week or so, several decades later, I am still laid out with that same fucking flu. What else do I need to explain about real work, as opposed to this forced enslavement we call "work" today.

People who have it too good in life overall simply don't/won't/can't get it.... That's the main hurdle I have had to overcome in my life.
How does one believe such a nightmare without feeling it? I never knew how bad it could be... I had this natural incapability to really empathize until it happened to me. Maybe a natural survival mechanism or something not to think about how bad life could possibly get for some of us....

Hopefully the above connects the missing dots though. Remember me when you have a flu... remember me as you get well, and I'm still worse off than you felt when you thought life was intolerable with that horrible flu... and know it's not a tenth of what I go through on my best days for the most part. I'm at about 20 percent of what I used to be. It's called work. Any doc will tell people about this. I can break it down to a more technical micro-biology perspective, but it's easy enough to find that information everywhere on the internet, or wherever competent medical professionals are.

I left all this out because it's not relevant to my issue at hand. I'm only asking about a citizenship issue, and not discussing my case or appeal - beyond the bits I did. It is by design since my ranting above that is optional - as I tried to emphasize for people to read the bottom if they wanted to skip reading about what I am going through and what has brought me to ... sort of entertaining the idea. The neuroplasticity I have developed as a result of living with my "abuser nation", and being at the mercy of these uncaring attitudes of its groomed subservient cattle and sheeple for all these years. I have had my denials both with and without legal help. I haven't done appeals with legal help, so this next phase is new... I still have a lot of hope that things can improve.

I don't like to talk about my illness, but I have a thread here going over my battle with lyme. I wish I had one illness. I have about 15 different ones as a result of neglecting my original problems as a kid. Twenty years of asking for help and receiving almost nothing doesn't exactly do well for one's mental assessment of their "protector". My abusive parent mainly just tended to be my country, but anyone who's been mixed up in that can understand.

That's just one of the many indications that you clearly did not seek legal council before starting all of this.

That's just one of many indications that somebody clearly doesn't know anything about my case. Should I also fax you the legal letterhead and proof I am moving forward with my SSI case, like the goddamn roadblocking government buildings that are only there to try to keep people who deserve help.. away from it. Keep knowing everything beyond yourself - I won't try to argue in your omniscience, God. Be careful what you assume when you reach conclusions based on nothing...

Anyway, my attorney gathered all my records from well over twenty doctors (mostly specialists) I see regularly. All of them have basically diagnosed many of my problems, with insurance limiting what else they "might" find.... I hope it didn't come off as too rude or ass-ish, but I was trying to reciprocate what I felt was coming at me. I hope I also have explained some of it in a better light, but I think people with doubts will generally keep them no matter how much you toss their way. Look at my hearing that failed as a perfect example. In New Jersey, many conditions I have should grant disability just having a single one... not 8 or 10 substantiated by more than one doctor, like in my case. It's "their doctors" that fuck things up... I even have 5 conditions they listed as "severe" yet want me to work with those?

Why do we want weakened people like myself polluting the workforce with weaker memebers of the population anyway? Personally it seems rather silly with this philosophy, unless we like mediocrity (which america has for a long time settled for). If I do not have the best for my product, then I am wasting time producing it. Is this country purposely trying to get us to spend our money on imported products because of this phenomenon? Why do we not consider jobs to be more important... and what they stand for.

It's not going to go down quietly with all the inconsistencies for my denial based on nothing, or mentioning no reason besides "there are inconsistencies"... but listing nothing as the actual reasons in my denial letter. It's going to be a circus in round 3 of the current case that's up in the balance.

I left out some stuff I am sick with, but it's not important. Take any three of the mentioned symptoms and I've already gone way beyond the threshold for what is considered "healthy enough to work". Almost every single problem has medical evidence that was presented in court at the hearing. Not editing - hopefully you can understand parts of why I am frustrated...

I'm curious why somebody would think I did not have representation based on what was said above though. Again, yes, I "had" a lawyer for my hearing - no I "don't" have one right at the moment... transitioning to a different lawyer in the next week or so that focuses on appeals. I have quite a lot to go over, and hopefully I can serve up some justice, whether I get benefits after the phase or not. What

Oh, you're the lyme thread guy. Could've just said so. Well, you apparently had many really shitty lawyer then. Here's why.

1) If you're claiming to be too sick to work, then you shouldn't be working. It refutes your claim.
2) A good lawyer would have told you this and guided you through the process to make a compelling court case.
3) Saying you're still working but wanting to apply for this disability benefit harms your case.

So you shouldn't be working, you should be living the poor life on welfare/EBT/Medicaid and you should be a dependent under someone else's care. The longer you stay independent the harder it is on you. These are all basic things that you would've been informed about beforehand. If it's a matter of "who?" then I'm sure you can find a steamgifter, redditor, or religious institution for that.

Instead of moving to a different country just try moving to somewhere else like Commiefornia and the difficulty of your case will probably drop by half or more. It's cheaper than its counterpart in Soviet New York. It also doesn't hurt to try capitalism and start a gofundme, but for that you'll need to get an editor and explain your overhead and projected costs of living and care. You tend to push people away whether intentional or not and you don't want to come off negatively to anyone or any institution that you're looking to benefit from.

1, 2, and 3) I'm not working. My body is constantly working inside. You're misinterpreting things. Sorry if I did not communicate that properly. I'd love to be able to work, but not even close to that capability for very long at a time at any capacity. If only I could work, then I wouldn't need to worry about SSI in the first place/would not care, since 2 or 3 days of work would likely be making more money than I'd be getting a month on gov't help in the US at the SSI level (I'm making $7 a day I have to pay back if I get SSI, but it'd be probably a little closer to $17 or $18 a day on the SSI after the deductions)... I haven't worked in maybe 14 or 15 years when it progressively got worse. It's far worse than it was when I had to stop working... that's for sure.

The parts in the second paragraph I have either tried, am already doing, or I am not allowed to legally engage in without losing my benefits I do have (general assistance I may have mentioned above, but not sure). Some of it is against the rules, since I cannot accept gifts from anyone on general assistance (same applies to when I get on SSI). Another of many unfair regulations put on poor, but not equally so on richer Americans. If only as much focus and expectations were placed on the rich as the poorest, we'd have a fine nation to work with here in America... It's a real pity.

There are plenty more twisted and oppressive rules to try and force the debt-slavery (like placing caps on total income + assets, etc.). Can you imagine if they did that to the rich here?! It'd be an outrage! Makes it easy to substantiate my own theory on that issue with all the bias, but the facts speak louder than I can. It's all out there in black and white somewhere...

It also doesn't hurt to try capitalism and start a gofundme,

Hah! That's what is funny about "capitalism". It protects its own only... and more rules to keep the poor down. Just another shining example here. As far as I know, most needs-based programs aren't allowed to raise money... SSD may differ in that area, but SSI is the bottom of the barrel version for non-working kids that got sick earlier in life. Also having lyme doesn't generate money really. If I were a child with cancer it wouldn't be a problem, but there is a lot of bias there too.

Thanks for the info on everything!

I've got a bit of insight into the rules regarding migration to Sweden, as I know a bunch of people who have moved here, although I suspect that the rules are similar in most of Europe.

In order to be granted residency you need to be able to show that you can sustain yourself, which you're sadly at a disadvantage for here. But if you can get a foot through the door, disability benefits are livable here. You won't live a life of luxury, but you won't have to chose between getting clothes without holes in them or food. Sadly I suspect that if you apply here with the motivation that you can't live in the US, they'll deny you, saying that you're the US's responsibility, and they should be able to provide for you, even if they're not actually doing that. But if you can work part-time for a while, in particular if you've got some skill that's sought after (like knowing programming), you have a chance, but it will be an uphill struggle.

Best of luck to you, I hope you'll find a way to make things work out.

I'd look for english speaking countries. If you have some kind of degree or something like that, be sure to know if it's can be convalidated validated, recognized or standardized, otherwise you'll end with pretty much unable to apply to a lot of jobs you could work because officially you don't met the minimum requeriments.

This happens a lot on the UE.

Uh.. well.. giving money to people who don't or can't work is just a bad way to do things.
If you haven't worked or paid into this program, I don't really see why you feel entitled to receive benefits. It is a socialist program, sure, but meant to be used by people who have worked and were possibly injured on the job.

There are "warm body" jobs everywhere, walmart greeters or movie theater ticket stub people for instance. Usually occupied by handicap or elderly.
Saying you can't work isn't believable, saying you don't want to work is perfectly understandable..

I couldn't agree more! Stop feeding the leeches collecting at the top, while sending nothing back!

I call it "interest". Getting paid for havinghoarding large sums of money has never and should never be considered a job! At least it's "making jobs" by sitting in that bank account, or so they say. I'm not fooled.

Poor money goes right back into the system since poor people have to spend to survive... a concept not known to most money-hoarders.

Yes, I don't want to work. I only feel pain when I move, so why would I want to? Most days I would not want to work. Some days if I am more fatigued, I couldn't work. Who would try to work feeling like this? The damage done to my body by circumstances against my power to stop justifies my reasoning. Others cannot feel pain unfortunately, so they think I must be fine. That's the attitude here where sheeple run rampant. I'm pretty sure about any logical person who felt what I felt would be saying the exact same thing.

For an example (and one part of my ways to describe a part of what I go through daily): Try doing any of those jobs with the flu - almost maxed out full-blown, but not quite - and a ton of extra conditions on top of it that affect energy, bones, joints, muscle function, recovery, mental clarity, that being just the beginning of it... see how many hours you can last. You will soon understand after your flu continues for months, and then years with no signs of relief, and you're still stuck doing the work while being sick... while everyone else around you can get the flu or something else and take time off to recover.

I'm too sick to do most things I love doing, much less work... When you have lived it, then tell me if your thoughts change. Be grateful that you will almost certainly never have to deal with anything close to as bad... It can always be worse, right!

I don't have anything to add other then this entire thread was interesting reading. I've had similar questions myself with some questions about chronic illness. (I'm perfectly healthy, as long as I take expensive-ass medication for the rest of my life) I just keep being told no country with healthcare would take me in. I hope for a better future, while planning for an even worse one) Anyway, OP you're totally white listed as this is the most i've ever read on our SG forums. Best of luck to you.

I appreciate it! I hope we can find better ways to figure some of this kind of stuff out. That is a big one I didn't even get much into also..
the medicine is pretty expensive around here if it isn't covered by what I do have. Seems a lot more expensive than many places. That's something that seems like it needs to change among other things. Wish I could change something, but I suppose just speaking out somewhere may do a little good on some kind of level... Good luck as well on everything!
