Well, I'm sure, someone, somewhere, has suggested something like this, but, here it goes:

When we create a giveaway, there should be an option "Key" or "Steam Gift"... if the "Key" option is checked, we should be given the option to enter the key (or the various keys, for more than 1 copy giveaways), so when the giveaway ends, the system simply marks the gift as sent and it shows the key like in the developer giveaways.

This would be optional, but this way, we could also enter Steam Gifts giveaways only, which would help you protect your account.

That would be sweet.

i would have to disagree with you a bit there.
what would happen if the giveaway needs a reroll?
the offender has the key now and could use it at will

Nice point...
I'd way that i agree with you...
but we can do somthing to improve it,As the giveaway ends there'l be a button to send the key or not send the key
(seeing who's the winner is in your own risposability)

"Optional".

You might not want to use it on public giveaways, but it's great for group/private giveaways.

No, it wouldn't be a problem. All you have to do is go to the send gifts page as usual, and enter the key then, after the giveaway is over.

fairly certain that CG's already stated that SteamGifts won't ever be holding onto any keys or games, because he doesn't want the liability. Something goes wrong, or hackers break in (not to mention that that'd make the site more of a prize for aspiring hackers to try to break into), and all those keys go poof? Yea, I can imagine people being pissed about that.

That is also a good point, hackers are a bitch, and then it would require more workto secure the site, it was a good idea in concept but a bit hard in process

It's already been suggested a number of times, but cg won't do it.
