From my experience when I get an access denied response that usually means I already own the game but that doesn't seem to be the case for you.
It also happened to me yesterday when I used the AppID (439190) instead of the SubID (272228).

Eh, if you care about your privacy that much you should make an additional e-mail to use for everything that is not personal/business related. Also, that form asked for names, but nowhere they say it needs to be your real one.

I'm confused as to why they decided to give it for free to everyone on steam while they're running their wishlist quest with the promise of this game being given for free probably the biggest reason why most people wishlist their other game. It just seems counter productive.

Considering CE only gives you soundtrack and artbook I would assume most people don't care about it. I for one sure don't. While I'm likely to give the game a try because it does seem interesting I don't have any use for things in CE.
