Hey folks,

I'm curious, for those who've paid attention, does Humble Bundle's average price spike from low-to-high like, say, Indie Royale always does, or does it follow a different pattern? I'd like to know simply because it would be more convenient for me to buy the current bundle next week (last day) after I get paid (very low on cash right now), but I'm not sure if it'll cost a lot more by then, be in the same range, or perhaps have gone down. Just wondering if anyone's noticed a typical curve or anything for this one.

Indie Royale's price isn't based on average, it actually drops when people pay over.

HB's is usually more stable, but with 2(3) + 1 it might drop if Democracy 2 isn't that desirable.

There isn't really a spike. Usually, it will either start really low, or really high. THen, depending on the bundle, it will usually settle to between $4-$10. But it's usually more along the lines of $4-$7. However, timing is key. You can catch an average at $4, and then the next day it's $6, then down to $5. Waiting until the last day won't always be best, and may sometimes hurt.

You should buy it now, $3 is pretty low if you check other sales' average. It might get lower or it might go very high

Humble Bundle typically go up at first while people buy the BTA, but usually starts to slide due to $1 purchases.

Like Toca1FTW said, Indie Royale actually goes up when people pay the minimum and goes down when people pay over the minimum.

Ok, thanks for all the advice. Went ahead and grabbed it now to play it safe. Food is overrated, anyway. :)

You can always buy the bundle for 1$ or even lower, when there is a low BTA. The low BTA gets linked to your purchase. When you BTA later (by adding more funds to a purchase), you only have to BTA an earlier low BTA.
[BTA of time of purchase = the BTA @ time of purchase to beat] =/= the current BTA.

Only 30 days now I think?

It used to be good when you could buy months later, did that a couple of times.

30 days After the end of the bundle. It gives you a margin, so you can get the proper funds to buy the bundle and Beat-The-Average.
