Is it considered a deal?
Permanently free? Eh. I only like temporary free games. :P

Yes, perma free.
The game was announced as going free from the start.
They event went so far as to say that anyone that just wants to play should NOT buy it.
That buying was purely if you wanted to support development.
However worth noting, there is a microtransaction element. Not forced and mostly cosmetic. But its there regardless.
While in development you could get the currency for free, I suspect that now that they're moving on to their free model completely that will (or already has) shifted.

"It's a generated world with sandbox elements. It is currently $19.99, with a planned price drop to F2P. Similar to every game in the Minecraft-esq genre"

Wouldn't play it even if it's free. If they would pay me for It - I would consider it.

Its a fun game, albeit a bit grindy at times.
More enjoyable if played with friends.
If you hate floating trees, you're probably going to start many a forest fire.
Also worth noting, there is a cash shop element.

Creativerse is sort of a minecraft-ish game, where you can create your own server or join other people's server easily to play.
Creativerse (http://store.steampowered.com/app/280790/) was $20 on steam until a few days ago when it became free. <<Developer said he wanted to get the game in the hands of more people so he made it free.
Edit: Seems the game was planned to be free after initial production stages (pointed out to me by Deathx9 and others), but still seems to be a pretty neat game eh?
