How many of these did 'legendary designer Sid Meier' actually work on?

View Results
[Tier 1] Spending a Covert dollar won't make a dent in my budget.
[Tier 2] My vintage PC can't run the newer ones anyway. ;_;
[Tier 3] Until here you get complete games – I won't go even one step further.
[Tier 4 intentionally] Paying the US store price of Civ 6 doesn't look that wrong to me, so I'll consider T1 - T3 a bonus.
[Tier 4 without reading clearly] Uh, what, I have to pay another $15 for the other Civ 6 DLC? When I pressed on purchase half-asleep, I thought it was $15 off the current $17 price. Jeez.
[Have] Not a single unbundled item? Do they expect me to buy bundles for my alt accounts?
[Skip] Firaxis can keep their Tom-Clancy's-random-prefix games.
[Anti-BTA] I hope Humble make more bundles without a BTA. Sitting there and refreshing is a waste of my life and gets me bad FOMO breakdowns at times.
[BTAfandom] My 31337 h4xx0r BTA price sniping script setup is unemployed lately. Not cool, IGN!
[Nostalgia] Remember how they sold these as one-key-per-tier back in the day? Good times, man. Good times.

If you don't have Civ 6 with dlcs and are interested in it, I would say that T4 is quite a nice deal.

I have played more than 100 hours of Civ 6 and IMHO, the DLCs don't add much...

MAYA & COLUMBIA PACK

  • Forest fires and meteor showers as natural disasters
  • Bermuda Triangle, Paititi, Fountain of Youth as natural wonders
  • Honey and maze as resources

ETHIOPIA PACK

  • Secret Societies game mode, which I read that it can be interesting
  • New district Diplomatic Quarter, which is good to have

BYZANTIUM AND GAUL PACK

  • World wonders Biosphere and Statue of Zeus

BABYLON PACK

  • 24 new Great People, which can make the game feel less repetitive in the long term
  • City-states, some of which unlock you new unique improvements

VIETNAM AND KUBLAI KHAN PACK

  • Monopolies and Corporations game mode, which makes the game more interesting
  • New Preserve district

PORTUGAL PACK

  • World wonders Etemenanki and Torre de Belém

Of course, the dlcs also add new civilizations, but I don't think they are really needed, again, they can just make each game feel more unique. Some also add more game modes, but they aren't very good.
So, I would say that the only two DLCs you need are the Ethiopia pack and the Vietnam and Kublai Khan pack, as they add new districts.
But yeah... tbh Humble doesn't give a really good discount on the New Frontier Pass, because I have bought it on HB for 10€ before.

That's true, these DLCs doesn't add very much, but for me, an "Ultimate Bundle" should contain every DLC.

I have everything except Sid Meier's Colonization and Sid Meier's Covert Action, so I'm in for tier 1. Fifty cents each doesn't seem bad.

They removed BTA. Not sure if it is only one time thing or not, but BTA does not work recently anyway:).

Maybe I will buy T1. I have main games from other tiers (Civilization's - but i dont have some dlc for latest one) and it does not attract me for this price.

Does the $15 coupon deal price for Civ 6 DLC get reduced by the (max) 20% Choice discount? Then it's of course not as bad as I thought when composing the poll.

No, 20% discount isn't applied to bundles, only to store

Gonna have to resist the FOMO, because my backlog is already huge and I really don't have the time to do a lot of gaming anymore.

Ah screw it, who am I kidding, tier 3 it is. It might be years until the next Sid Meier collection, right?

Seems like releasing "collection" bundles in a cycle has become a thing now. Another example is the Resident Evil one, I'm counting on that one to return next year. The Myst collection returned too.

I have been avoiding buying Civilization V for a long while, so I guess buying tier 3 is a worthy purchase.
Buying Civ 6 might wait until totally complete edition is bundled :p

Tier 3 for me, not really interested in Civ 6 dlc, and a chance to get a bunch of Sid games sounds great.

I would like to get "Civilization: Beyond Earth – The Collection" at a point, but very likely for hoarding purposes, and a bit because the sci-fi setting is interesting. But with most of the civ games un/underplayed, and with the Endless games in my library, I'm way, way more patient than to get it for this price. Super low urgency, so skip.

It's a bad game anyway, innit?

As I heard, yes. Waiting for it to drop to 1-2€, that's the sign that I should get it.
If it happens, curiosity sated cheaply.
If it doesn't, I stay at my money and avoid a game that is said to be subpar.

Win-win :D

Help needed: screenshots with the countries list from the gift link notification

I purchased T3 from US.

When I click "Gift to a Friend" link for most games on the order page, there's no region warnings on the popup. It only says this:

Gift this item?

Gifting this item removes it from your order and turns it into a giftable link.

Do I have to click the "Create gift link" button on the pop up window to get warned about the regions?

For which of the games does it show a message when you press the gift link button?

Nope, just "Gift to a Friend".

Thanks for your help!

Tier 4 Is not a bad price IMHO if you do not own the titles. I already had CIV 6 and wanted to check if it was true that CIV 4 was the best in the series. I didn't know the ace series and look appealing, same for the spaceships thing. Also, I'm in this because I'm retroactively paying for some great hours I had playing "backup copies" of CIV 1 CIV 2 and Colonization when I was younger.

Yes i agree. Bundle is great if I would not have all civilizations (I have them all although last one without some dlcs). I can not explain to myself reasons to pay so much only for 3 games from tier 2 and some dlcs (some have already).

Also it is a question how much civilizations you need. If Anyone would play older ones if he has newer one (maybe one older - the one cosidered as the best in series)?
