Why does no one like wired? I have an excellent wired mouse. It even has back/forward buttons on the side!
EDIT: Can't help you, just came to mind.

for me, I don't like wired because the wire catches on things (I particularly hate when it's scraping against the back edge of a desk), and I can't easily take the mouse across the room (which I do a lot for movies and music control).
Back to the OP: I've been using the same wireless mouse for maybe seven years now. It's an old Logitech model that's no longer in production. Logitech's software is terrible, but their hardware is solid. IMHO, go to the stores that have display mice you can try, get a feel for the mouse yourself -- for me, for example, the scroll wheel feel is geekily important, as well as the number of buttons, weight, configurability, range, and battery life (mine uses rechargeable AAs and lasts about a month per charge, but I know lots of people really like the USB-chargeable Lithium Ion type).

Use gamer's material wired mouses rather than those cheap platic cable ones, extremely flexable and almost stays off the table, never has catched on anything since... Pro Gamers will use wired mice, never a wireless (the pros for outweigh the against).

Exactly, the most "serious" game that I play on the PC is CS:S...I don't see why people keep brining this issue up of having to change batteries. They make it seem like they have to drive all the way to the damn store to purchase batteries.

Your probably not considered a gamer: however serious playing of CounterStrike throughout the night would wear out the batteries before the gaming session is complete, during the game you would curse and swear as the mouse gives out on you. 5 seconds to swap out the battery = instant death!
Wireless peripherals have come on a long way in recent years and some of the better ones out there are actually really great, removing interference/drop outs/cold spots, however they will never be as reliable as a wired mice.
Wireless makes a degree of sense for casual use, however never for gamers.

Actually some of the more recent wireless mice work at the same level as wired. I know my G700 does, although I personally keep it wired most of the time because I am too lazy to charge it. The past lag and low battery causing problems issues seem to have been resolved. On top of this, they now achieve much higher quality connections, which cuts down on any loss that might have occured.
You can find plenty of quality wireless mice, from Logitech, Cyborg, and Gigabyte, among others. That "noob" comment actually should have been aimed inward. The wireless problems are now a thing of the past, if you get the right mouse.

I got last year a Razer Mamba 2012 and had no problems with lag, got more sensivility that i can use and no problems with the battery as i can leave it charging at nig on its nice dock. If i eventually run out of battery i can easily connect it to a comfortable 2 meter cable. The size is right for my hand although some people with big hands may not like it that much. the only bad thing i could say is that is quite expensive in comparasion with other products, yet i am very happy with it :)

Logitech G700 I have it and it's absolutely awesome. After having a Logitech G7 (wireless) for more than 5 years I wanted a gaming and work mouse that was wireless when I wanted and wired when I wanted it to be. In the end the battle was between the Razer Mamba, the Razer Naga and the Logitech G700. From my research Razer products either were lasting people a long time or less than 2 years so I decided to go with the "safe" bet and chose the Logitech G700. It has 3 years of guarantee and my previous Logitech mouse lasted me for more than 5 years so, in the end, it was a no brainer for me. Also, to everyone the is saying that wireless mouse isn't for gaming, why not try to live with a proper wireless mouse for a couple of years yeah? Simply go to the configs and set the poling rate to 1000 and you're set, the batteries might last less time, but that's the price to pay to have it wireless.
Edit: search some different places than the Logitech store, I got mine for 80Euros for example.

The best wireless mouse is an oxymoron like the sharpest dull knife, but if you had to get one I'd vote for the Logitech G700 as well while not as a good as a wired mouse it is better than many other wireless mice, the M705 would be a 2nd choice, but wires are good.

I own a Logitech Performance MX. It's fairly large and your palm should rest easily on it. It's more comfortable than my old G5, which I have connected to my PC. The receiver is really tiny. If you plan to use it with a laptop like I do, then you won't even have to bother removing it. It's just that small. The mouse is around the same weight, if not heavier, than my G5 at maximum weight. The downside is that it costs $100, at least that's what the price is on Logitech's homepage. Also, it isn't exactly advertised as a gaming mouse, so it may not be as sophisticated in terms of customisability (DPI, weights, etc.) as other mice, but I've found that it gets the job done nonetheless.

Definitely the G700. 13 buttons, Logitech Gaming Software, and almost every feature you could ever need. It works equally well wired and wirelessly, works equally well on MMO and FPS type games, and really has more features than any other Logitech mouse, right now. Logitech mice tend to be the best overall and I personally think the G700 is the best of the bunch. I looked all over back in December and ended up picking the G700 I couldn't be happier. It is one of the few wireless mice that actually works at a gaming quality level when it is used that way.
I have the Performance MX, as well, and it is nowhere near the gaming quality level of the G700. I just use it for normal browsing on my laptop.

You don't live all that far from me. I just got one for like $50 during our Thanksgiving week. I'm not saying it would hit that low in Canada, but it probably would go on sale for somewhere within the range, here and there. I buy things occasionally from Canada and the shipping is decent. Maybe you can get one from America or even off Ebay.

None of them. Not only do you have response time issues, but wireless mice tend to cost more and last less time.
And if you are me, less time = a month at the very most. I have enough problems with mice, but at least a wired mouse tends to last me six months.

Im no expert, but I do highly recommend one with the nano receiver. They plug in to usb slots (obviously) and extend less than a centimeter out from your computer. You won't even notice it's there and it works really well. (And to lady's comment up above, my mouse has lasted months, gotten very heavy use, and still works like a charm. I also bought it on amazon I think it was for only like $15, so it's not worse in any ways. Im not a by the book buyer, I expermient, and I don't go with stupid stereotypes like that which you are trying to present. If you've had that many problems, it's your problem, not the mouse's) I myself have a Logitech Wireless M350, but you mentioned you want one for big hands, and this one is more for the front half of the hand. I have gotten use to it and it has grown on me, but like you, I like bigger mice as well, so explore out there, and don't be afraid to experiment (unlike lady up there).

Oh, and people, quit telling him how you prefer wired mice. Not to be a debby downer, but he asked for mice specifically with wireless capability. However, he didn't ask for you to come and waste space by writing how you prefer other things when he specifically said he wanted wireless. Also, you're crazy if you feel they affect response times. Even if they did, milliseconds won't improve someone's skill at a game, so please, get over yourselves and your opinions and provide help, not how you think he should get something else. Thank you

Oh, and for one other person's comment, it's called rechargeable batteries. I have 4 on rotation and am always set in case one runs out. Hopefully you don't complain any more after I spent the time writing all that. Your welcome sane people who like to stick to the point and not listen to a ton of other stupid junk. That felt great. Please reply if you have appreciation, and if you don't, still reply and I will take you on :D

I do think my own comment about how wireless mice tend to not last as long is legit. Especially with laptops, the mouse gets a beating compared to other parts of a computer, and wireless mice are definitely not as sturdy as wired mice. That's just a fact that I've proven over the years with numerous purchases and the wired mouse always lasts longer. If cables bothers someone, most wired laptop mice have retractable cables to eliminate clutter and make them easy to pack up into a case. Heck, I got a spare hanging around that you tuck the cable into the mouse. The one complaint I can see is that laptop mice do tend to be very small (I actually prefer a small mouse though).
And it's not oh, I just need to charge the batteries. What always happens is that either they just stop detecting or the optical sensor won't come on any longer, and this is the same with wired and wireless. Only replacing outright resolves it. I've tried numerous brands and models and ranging from expensive to dirt cheap and the best one I've found so far as far as lasting a decent amount of time, is a good price, and has great precision is a Targus Compact Blue Trace Mouse, which is wired. Still have yet to find that mouse that will actually last on average more than six months, but that one is the best so far for me. Heck, I know I had a Logitech one that didn't even last a day (though that one was because its precision sucked. I moved it straight up and down, it moved at an angle instead, complete rubbish). And I've bought enough wireless mice to know that it's not just me having crap luck. They always break in a period of time that I can return it for my full money back and get a wired mouse instead. Seriously, I've not had a wireless mouse last over a month yet. That is why I cannot recommend any wireless mice.
Of course, if OP wants to keep on returning broken mice to exchange for another have at it. I personally don't find waiting in lines to return stuff to be fun at all.

It's sad that that's been your experience. I double-checked the date on my order of the wireless mouse I use daily -- not quite seven years ago, but it will be soon -- July 2006. I've taken it apart twice, only to clean the gunk out of the wheel. Other than that, literally daily use for over six years, multiple computers and a laptop, at work and through a move, tossed into a laptop case or a backpack or across the room. Best part: this is a refurb (yeah, pressing my luck there) -- it cost me $20.
Lest you think this is an outlier case, I have two of these mice. One of them doesn't get much use anymore since I'm usually only on one computer these days, but it suffered the same abuse for at least three or four years.
Shame about your weird directional experience with the Logitech -- that used to be a basic Windows settings (so really easy to fix), but I don't see any immediate solution for it here in Win7, either in Logitech's software or Windows's.
Maybe you're someone who just slams the mouse around a lot. The settings on mine are such that I rarely have to move it more than two inches in any direction (yeah, not awesome for FPS sniping, but a wire has nothing to do with that problem).

I agree, that is sad. I'm an only laptop guy, and my mice last very long. I think you are definitely unlucky in your mice experience's, but still highly stick with what I said earlier. I mainly just didn't like the fact you said none of them. You based what you've had to every single thing out there which isn't fair in a sense.

If your a gamer, highly recommend going wired with a Razer Death Adder, Logitech MX518 (old school) or Logitech G500. These are designed well for the hand, material cable which doesn't get in the way, last forever and a day under extreme long periods of gaming (will outlive your pc and it's upgrades), have good DPI for most styles of game play, and has a good weight/feel, etc. They are not fancy with crap you don't need - which makes them so much more reliable.
Use with a Razer Goliathus mousepad (Speed or Control edition - depending on gaming style). The newer ones with threaded edges.
If you really want wireless, suggest Razer Mamba 2012 (4G version). Expensive, but has duel sensory, stays connected well. Has it's issues like most wireless, ensure you upgrade it's firmware before use! Place on charger base each night to ensure it doesn't run flat halfway through a gaming match. Still has optional material cable for when you wise up.
ps: The mouse pad alone might cost you that $50. However, you only buy a mouse once every 5-7 years, get a good one that lasts.

Buy Mac and get Magic Mouse :D 1200 dpi conventional mouse :D, joke you can get something priced at 60-80 for 50$ if you look in amazon, ebay, stores in you, and about your "This one seems more in my price range:", come on.....you can get minimum of three times better mouse for this 46$, this is scam paying this for an 2000dpi mouse. Get a Razer Deathadder, Logitech mouse, a or Gigabyte mouse( the last for 50-60$ price range with 8200dpi), or a lot more mice, for price of 50$ that will have from 3600 to 5700 dpi. And again don't buy this 2000dpi mouse for this price is a scam........you can found
a wireless mouse with more dpi for this price. I know maybe is hard to find a wireless mouse for a good price, but is possible, just search.
EDIT: or buy a wired mouse, is 1000 times better, you pay for a good mouse with hight dpi, that fits in your hand, is stupid to pay a lot only because mouse is wireless that also will have less specs than a wired mouse, and to a really good wireless/wired mouse (2 in one, you can conect or disconect cable whatever you like and also have a recharger) find any Razer wired/wireless mice in market, but for 50$ it will be difficult.

they are both wired and non-wired playable....
(I have the star wars old republic one, been great for over a year [longest mouse that has lasted my extreme gaming tendencies])

I hate changing batteries so this is what I have right now. It does the job and has a unifying receiver so you can add other Logitech devices to it. Mine was actually a combo with the keyboard included. I have a few sets of these batteries so that they're always charged up when I need them. I was looking for a gaming wireless mouse at first but most of them have such crappy battery life that it turned me right off them. My old brain probably causes more input lag than my mouse ;)

I have the Logitec G700 for over a year now, and still love it!
It looks sexy but also has many extra buttons, where you can record macros or put other functions on it. She also is wireless, but you can just plug the USB cable in it, and use/charge it like a normal wired mouse.
But for some days now, mine sometimes has the "double click"-problem. I can still live with it. But in the future i will send it to the Logitech support. Already did it with a MX518, and i got a completely new one after about a week of waiting.
Logitech service is one of the best!
edit: just saw it is too expensive for you :(
If you are patient, you could keep looking on Ebay for a used one, with remaining warranty.

Hey steamgifters, I have a question that I hope you can solve. I need to get a new mouse for my laptop because my other one broke. I want it to be a wireless one, but I always want it to be good for gaming and with someone who has large hands. My last mouse was a Microshit Wireless Mouse 2000 was just the thing I wanted; however, the transceiver for it does not work anymore. Since Microsoft is a shitty company they don't produce transceivers separately so they make people purchase an entirely new mouse because of it. My price range would be around $50.
To sum this up, I need a mouse that is/has:
Thanks, and I hope you guys can help me out!
Btw, this is the mouse I had: Linky
This is what I have in mind, but are way too expensive:
This one seems more in my price range:
