Am I the only one bothered by these "Please vote for X! (and only X!)" threads? If I'm ever linked to a voting in such a way, I make sure to check the other entrants and make an informed vote. And I really hope others do the same, because otherwise votings are useless.

What bothers me is the uninformed voting. The "lets vote without knowing if it's actually good." Video games is NOT a charity it's a BUSINESS. And when someone writes "This game must be awesome and if you vote, it maybe will be on E3, so we can know more about it before release!" no, just no. That can be said of ANY game. You give me the information BEFORE I give you my vote. People don't blindly give money to Kickstarter projects in the hope that what their money going to would be good. They're presented with something they like and give their support based on the merits of the project presented.

The grand prize consists of: four (4) E3 passes, two (2) Double Standard Occupancy hotel rooms for the dates June 11, 2013-June 13, 2013, and a travel allowance for four (4) round trip economy class flights, which shall be divided evenly between the winning Nominator and its nominee. Never heard of this crash thing before, but going back to the nomination page it looks like Starbound is being spammed. Not so much all on a single entry, but numerous different entries. Smells fishy. But basically the top 10 get to go to E3? I'll find something else to vote for.

At any rate, Starbound has at least 17 people working for them, and I know there are a number not listed on their Team page. The maximum permitted by this contest appears to be 10, which would make them ineligible.
