In the past few years or so:
Got a few of the $5 games for around $1 during the holiday sale. Forget which I bought then though, I want to say the VVVVV and C'thulhu/Breath double pack (although I think that's like $3 normally).
Haven't spent more than $60 on a game yet, bought StarCraft II and Skyrim last year full price

Cheapest? Your mom, HAHAHA
Seriously now. I guess it's a Humble Inde Bundle that a friend gave to me for 20 cents. And the most expensive is my Bad Company 2 - Pre Oder(Steam) out steam is my Starcraft 2 Limited Edition.

Cheapest - 0.01$ for indie bundle. And most expensive was COD MW3 (around 22$).

Why would you spend only a penny on an indie bundle? At that price, they are losing money (a significant amount) on the transaction. If you're that cheap, at least give them a dollar so their credit card processing and download costs are at least partially covered. That's not even including compensating them for the hard work the game developers and others involved did for creating the game in the first place. If people give them that little for the game (when the retail price for the games in a Humble Indie Bundle is often much more than $60) has the effect of causing game studios to go bankrupt, good, innovative games fading into oblivion, and giants like EA churning out the same bland Generic Shooter/RPG/Etc. year after year.
Back when I first heard about the Humble Bundles, Wolfire Games (the company behind HIB) stated if anyone honestly was unable to purchase a bundle, to contact support and plead their case. Wolfire would purchase the bundle on their behalf.

I like how they do it now. If you enter an amount below $1, they force you to do a CAPTCHA, with the text "Are you really human? It seems you have no heart!"

Cheapest: Cthulhu Saves the World during a Steam sale
Most expensive: Deus Ex:HR (45 Euro)

If we're talking about things that aren't in bundles, probably some random NES game I got for a dime at a thrift store.
Most expensive? Probably a Wii game for only $49.99. Only current gen console I have is a Wii, so most new releases are around $49.99... and I probably only bought one or two full priced games. I nearly always wait for sales.

Yeah, so what is the cheapest game you have ever purchased/received/stolen/sold your body for/sold your soul for/etc?
On the other hand, what is the most money you have bought a game for? The reason being?
And on another note:
