Eminem, Gustavo (Latvian rapper). Gustavo is really great. This is one of the best songs. In English it would be called "Our Steps". He' s one of the best in Latvia.

Listening to rap and not being able to understand lyric is kinda pointless, isn't it?
Just asking, I don't listen to rap at all, like really really at all.

Well, I sometimes listen to Russian songs (rap songs) and I don't understand anything. But I don't think it's pointless if it's good music.

UGK sounds nice, I like that kind of rap. Big KRIT is "swag" type of rapper? Also I'll give a try your recommendations, it looks like you know much about rap.

Nas, KRS One, and Tribe Called Quest off your list are definitely among my favorites (not to say the others aren't good). Those would definitely be my top 3 rap artist that not enough people listen to. Nas at least has some more recent stuff (not as good, imo) but KRS and Tribe completely pre-date a lot of people's rap/hip hop listening.

Outside of your list I would say The Roots are another group that could use some more spins. As do De La Soul/Mos Def, especially if you like Tribe, since a lot of Jazz influence and weird rhymes are common among them.

Nas is my favourite rapper too :) He fell off recently, but until God's Son(Including) everything is pure masterpiece. And about recommendations: I know many of them, listening many of them, but you listed few that I don't know about, so I'll give them a try.

None of these are on your last.fm and all are mandatory:

Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein
Dr. Octagon - Dr. Octagonecologyst
Madvillain - Madvillainy
Outkast - Aquemini

Don't really like Madvillain, not my type of music. I listened to J Dilla and Jaylib and don't enjoyed it as much as I expected.

Fair dos. Definitely check out that Cannibal Ox album (either The F-Word or Pigeon if you want to sample a couple of songs on YouTube), can't believe nobody else has suggested it yet.

"good" "rap" and "art" in one sentence. Very nice joke, had me rolling on the floor laughing.

So tell me what are you listening? Indie rock or metal?

Cant we all get along? I listen to some indie and metal, rap is good also, people should try bing more open. I use to hate rap until I actually realized that MTV was making the genre seem like a joke and that good stuff actually existed.

please do not confuse rap and hip-hop

rap used to be handcrafted with care using samplers such as AKAI S-1000, AKAI MPC, SP1200, etc and took time to be made and then post-production like any other style

anyways... sod it... I also apply "good" "rap" and "art" in one sentence as a joke for whatever was released after 1995 (ok, there are a few exceptions)
