Maybe you gave away too much bundled games?

Maybe some of your games were introduced on a bundle so that's why its value decreased.

PD: Apparently every game you gave away has been bundled.

Well I didn't saw that one because I have entered and that so it was "whited" but still, the rest a bundle games.

Solution: Stop buying bundle games.

that is most likly because you gave away a bundle game that was not yet marked as bundle game when you gave it away, but now it is marked as it and all giveaways of the bundle game since the bundle started are made to bundle game giveaways

So if i buy game, which get "BUNDLED" eg. after few months, it will automatically lower my contributor value ?

I can live with it, but looks weird...

No. If a game is/was in a bundle when you're creating the giveaway (it has an asterisk next to its name on the giveaway list) you won't get any CV for it.

But if you make a giveaway of a game and two days later it will be in a bundle then you will get your CV for it. Because when you created the giveaway for it the game wasn't in a bundle yet.

Bundle games are only price limited after they are released in a bundle, so something like Afterfall Insanity Extended Edition isn't under that rule since you gave it before the bundle with it.

However, if a games regular price is decreased in the Steam store, the price for CV is decreased here as well.

If this is true it's pretty stupid, btw. If you gave away Skyrim while it was the hottest new game, why would your contributor value decrease when the game gets a price drop? You still gave it away while it was new, hot and highly wanted. I haven't checked personally if it works like this, but doesn't sound logical or fair to be this way.

It is done this way. CG even had a sticky up for a while because people started *****ing when a game had the Steam price half from $50 to $25. Despite the fact that a majority of people had given it away while it was $5.

Personally, I don't mind. It stops people from living off a couple of big giveaways they did once a year ago. If they want to keep their value high, they can't just sit on those old giveaways.

Because the intention of giving away a game has changed from letting someone experience a game they wouldn't have bought it or couldn't afford it to gaining your contributor value.

It's sad.

Not for me. I'm happy to give away bundle games. They are the fastest cheapest way to raise my giveaway creation cap for mass giveaways.

Your list must be pretty long.

And pointless.

Please, add me there as well.

Not pointless. In the end, it'll potentially mean he misses out on skyrim with no cv and all he had to do was search.

Seriously this topic comes up every other day with the same exact thread subject and its not that hard to scroll.
